What would happen if..

everyone in the Marvel/DC/Image/Valiant ect universes lost their superpowers?

Just out of the blue, everyone who once had powers (including superhuman stats), woke up and realized they were gone.

They'll wonder what happened, some will make an attempt to find the reason, some will try to replicate the means which they got their powers, some will see it as a sign/blessing/curse to live a normal life, and Batman will be Batman.

The smarts/tech based characters would gain a LOT more power. So that means the villains would still be carrying out their villainous acts & the non-powered heroes would have to try & stop them. The world would seem more like our normal world then, just perhaps more technologically advanced.

In DC, Luthor wouldn't have Superman to fight so he might actually be able to do some good (even fight off other tech-villains).

The street level heroes and villains would become the most lauded and feared characters in comics.

This Elseworld covers that exact scenario... At least so far as DC is concerned.
