What will come after the ghost and demon horror movies?

You can see tends by looking back at all the horror movies through the years. There were eras where certain horror franchise types reined supreme or at least dominant. Other kinds of horror movies were released during those times as well but mostly it was these types:

1. Classic monsters (Dracula, Frankenstein, the Creature from the black lagoon)

2. The Slashers (Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th)

3. The Zombies

Now: The Ghosts and demon possessions

I'm probably forgetting some, but you get the general idea.

So what comes next? Because I'm just a little sick of hauntings and demon possessions. I'd like them to do something else.

Are they still trends when they are still constantly being put out? Sure they may have a more influx of the genre at points but it's not like they just disappear. Dracula and other classic movie monsters are always getting remade and retold, zombies have tons of movies and are still very popular, Slasher films though not as popular like they were in the 80s are being made all the time, demon and ghost films again were being made (only reason they are so popular now is that they're fairly cheap to make), and let's not forget a couple of other popular genres with vampires and the fearing of technology.

These things are always being made that's why I find it so funny when people say that everyone is going to get tired of CBMs.
