When you guys read comics what voices do you guys use voices in your head for certain characters? Like now whenever I read Joker I hear Mark Hamill.
What voices do you use when reading comics?
For some reason, I can never find a solid voice for Joker.
But I love that, because it fits his character.
Sometimes when I read he's Mark Hamill. Sometimes he's Kevin Micheal Richardson, Dimaggio, Ledger, etc.
different ones.
For Captain Cold, I imagine Steve Blum.
For the Transformers, I imagine their G1 incarnations.
I know for a fact that this exact thread already exist, but I don't want to search and link so I won't flag. Maybe. :P
Pretty much just voicist that either have had the role or would fit it, ie, the Timmverse, BTAS, Young Justice, Jensen Ackles for Red Hood. Except Nightwing....I use my own voice.
X-Men-voices from the 90's cartoon
Spider-Man and related characters- '95 series
Justice League and related characters- Justice League and JLU
Joker-Mark hamill
Avengers- Avengers EMH
Onslaught- Marvel vs. Capcom
Hulk- voice-over from Marvel Super Heroes arcade game.
Mostly tv voices!
Justice League voices (Joker is similar to Hamil, Conroy as Bats, Daly as Supes...), Red Hood is Jensen Ackles (srsy, he did such a good job!), Robins (depending on the comic) sound similar to Robin I/NW in YJ or the first Robin in BTAS (Tim/Jason sounds too young imho)...
Fun game: Read detective comics in the Bale voice. R.O.F.L.
It's usually the most recent voices I've heard for these characters. So for DC it's a mixture between DC animated films voice actors and DCUO voice actors, and for Marvel it's video game voice actors.

So fitting.
Sometimes I think of voice actors from the cartoon shows
Batman as BTAS
X-Men as XTAS
Justice League as Justice League Unlimited
Avengers as Avenger EMH
You get the idea

I mainly just imagine Batman and Joker with the TAS voices. Everyone else is just random voices that come from my head. I've always struggled to find the right inner voice for Atomic Robo though.
I usually use the animated series voices whenever applicable. I've come to use a slightly modified Nightwing voice from Young Justice as Tim's voice. I just use whatever I think sounds appropriate.
Bruce Wayne/Batman will forever be Kevin Conroy however. Never will he be anything else.
Colossus - Dan Green (From the Joss Whedon Astonishing X-Men Gifted Motion comic)
Joker - Mark Hamill
Batman - Kevin Conroy
Spider Man - voice from the 90s cartoon
Kitty Pryde - voice from Joss Whedon's Astonishing X-Men Gifted Motion comic)
Black Widow - voice from Ultimate Avengers movie
Normally the characters dialog and personality sort of generate their own voices in my head. Sometimes it's a actor from the video games/films/cartoons etc. Other times I've no idea where the voice comes from, but it's distinct. Aunt May, for some reason sounds like the old woman/fairy/whatever in Fern Gully. Weird.
Marry Q as Wonder Woman, even out of her few lines, more force to her words.
Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, I know only one line. Banner, not so much..
Kevin Conroy, Batman
Superman, George Newbern
Who I can think of:
- Spider-man - Christopher Daniel Barnes
- Captain America - Brian Bloom
- Iron Man - Robert Downey Jr.
- Thor - Chris Hemsworth
- Superman - Tim Daly/George Newbern
- Batman - Kevin Conroy
- Wonder Woman - Keri Russel
- Wolverine - Steve Blum
- Deadpool - Nolan North
- Lex Luthor - Clancy Brown
- Joker - Mark Hamill
- Magneto - Ian McKellen
- Darkseid - Michael Ironside
- Martian Manhunter - Carl Lumbly
- Wally West - Jason Spisak
- Hulk - Lou Ferigno
- Dr. Strange - James Horan
- Dick Grayson - Either Loren Lester or Jesse McCartney
- Odin - Anthony Hopkins (even before the movie)
- Steve Trevor -Nathan Fillion
- Ares (DC) - Alfred Molina
- Hippolyta - Virginia Madsen
All I can think of right now.
- Joker-Mark Hamil/Troy Baker
- Batman-Kevin Conroy

- The Penguin-Nolan North
- Ra's Al Ghul-Liam Neeson
- Bane-J.B Blanc
- Deadpool-Nolan North
- Iron Man-Robert Downy Jr
- Thor-Chris Hemsworth
- Darkseid-Andre Braugner
- Doctor-Doom (Whoever voiced him in Iron Man: Armored Adventures)
Superman - George Newbern or Tim Daly
Batman - Kevin Conroy

For the X-Men, it's a mix of the voices from X-Men: The Animated Series and the Astonishing X-Men motion comic. For Batman, it's the voices from Batman: The Animated Series. For Spider-Man, I hear my own voice for Peter Parker and the voices from the Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon for the others. For Superman, it's the voices from Superman: The Animated Series. The influence of good voice work goes beyond cartoons, I guess.
Lex Luthor- I used to think Clancy Brown but now Jesse Eisenberg (not that bad)
Batman- Kevin Conroy
Superman- Tom Welling
Joker- Mark Hamill
Two-Face- Aaron Eckhart
Barry Allen- Grant Gustin
Hal Jordan- Leonardo DiCaprio X_X
Green Arrow- Chris Hardwick/Stephen Amell
Aquaman- John Stewart's voice actor, I forgot his name
Sinestro- Ian McShane
