So I've been trying to keep up with comics which is quite the feat since I'm limited on money(just started new job yay me!) and earlier today I was looking online for some current information about what was going on between Logan and Ororo or whether or not this was just a tease like so many comic book covers had been. We all know that Logan and Ororo have always flirted, but have never consumated their relationship(at least not in the 616). I, of course, being an avid fan of both characters definitely approve of the chance of them finally being together. It would be a great development to both and might put Ororo more in the spotlight and possibly be what pushes her into her own book along with a healthy way for her to drop one of my least favorite nicknames that I've seen for her, Ice Queen. I think a relationship between Logan and Ororo(aka LoRo) will calm Logan and make Ororo embrace that African wild side of hers more. He's one of the few people who can take the total destruction of the infamous Rogue Storm and possibly help keep her on that level of knowledge that she is only human. Now when I finally found what I was looking for I found something that disturbed me so much. T'Challa basically telling Ororo to stay away from Logan. He said he'd give his blessings for her to be with any one other than him and that he, T'Challa, will always love her. Now going from my understanding of the previous comics I read where he announced that he had annulled their marriage and there wasn't any type of visible forgiveness at the time or explanation as to why. They were both angry and hurt. Ororo had her heart crushed especially since he hadn't come to her before and spoken with her about the annullment. He just did it. Here's my question. Forgetting the fact that they have just officially been divorced, what gives T'Challa the right to make a special request of Ororo not to be with Logan? In my eyes, he ended the relationship and she could be with whomever she chooses. That would be like her asking him not to date Monica Rambeau(who is the only character I could truly see with T'Challa) because she'd rather him choose any one, but the woman whom he shares a romantic bond with. Is this a fair request from him or is he still trying to basically control her? In my eyes, he's given up one of the best things that's ever happened to him and this request is illogical and unfair and if I were her not only would I ignore it, but I'd buck against it. Is there some form of dependency that has been built between the two that they basically have to listen to each other? Had he always known he was the wrong man for her, but selfishly wants to keep the only other man he could see as competition for Ororo's heart away from her? I am very confused by what the writers are trying to do, but it is appearing more and more like a good bit of us comic fans are finally getting what we want. A 616 relationship between Logan and Ororo. The problem is, will T'Challa be the thing that keeps our meant to be lovers apart?

Black Panther needs to stay in his lane, Wolverine & Jean will never be & ever since X-men: The End alternate future ive been all for a Logan & Ororo relationship. i feel it will add to Storm's character development & it will force Wolverine to lessen his duties( Leaves the Avengers & focus' solely on the X-men). i feel that his couple is the new headmaster & headmistress of the school.

@The_Storm_Goddess: I would spite any X-men if I was t'challa personally, After AvX any X-men deserve it.

Seeing as I think a Wolverine and Storm pairing is one of the absolute worst ideas for a couple that Marvel is trying to shove down our throats I fully support T'Challa.

Storm and Wolverine; worst comic book pairing ever

Better than T'Challa and Storm apparently. He's really lost his mind with this. He can't tell his EX that HE LEFT not to date some one. She's a grown woman.

Again logan,s girlfriends have a nasty habit of being murdered in horrific ways. So maybe he really is worried for her.

I just found the info...and I agree. He obviously does not trust Wolverine and that was shown in the conclusion of AvX. Of course, she has every right to ignore him and I personally would find it odd if he didn't say anything about it because then it would show that he doesn't care.

It's obvious that T'Challa still loves Ororo and though they are not together, he only wants what is best for her. His opinion was that it's not Logan. It wasn't like he was trying to demand it or anything.

Pretty much.

Also, his dislike of Logan (at least as a romantic partner) has been shown previously. In a Black Panther/X-Men team-up shortly before their marriage, T'Challa mentions Wolverine's friendliness with Storm to her. Can't remember the exact words, but basically implying that the thought of Logan desiring Storm was insulting and calling him a troll.

So yeah, Black Panter may be acting like a bit of a jerk, but its consistent jerkiness. Plus, he's always been a little bit of a jerk. Kinda like Namor or Reed Richards. It's just part of his character.

#15 Posted by The_Storm_Goddess (22 posts) - - Show Bio

Exactly, but I know if my ex told me to stay away from some one...I'd probably laugh in his face. He loves her, but it was his choice to end their relationship. As my one friend and I thought about it we came up with the idea he's a little jealous cause he does still love Storm and he doesn't like Logan. Still, Roro is a big girl and can protect herself. She doesn't need her ex to do it since he didn't really do it during their marriage(He was always gone). As a woman, I take insult when it appears like a man doesn't think a woman has thought up why she should or shouldn't be with some one. Would other guys possibly be more up to standards? Probably. Have those type of men worked out before for her? Nope. She and Logan has a lot of chemistry and even if it's one night it's bound to happen sooner or later. It's almost as if T'Challa doesn't really want her to be with some one else.

#16 Posted by windcaster (228 posts) - - Show Bio

Hudlin introduced that Tchalla viewed Wolverine as a potential threat romantically speaking. Although, I think that T'challa is more worried about Ororo hooking up with Logan because of his track record with women. I don't think it fits his character to tell whom to date. Due to Araron's hit or miss with BP I'm going to reserve my judgment until I read the issue first.

@mk111: Has Wolverine had anything NOT lame for the past half-century?

Besides from that first Weapon X arc, I sorta enjoyed that.

And maybe since the new Silver Samurai was introduced, that kinda looked cool though I soon dropped it.

Still... <.<

Wolverine's book has been pretty good overall as far back as I can remember. I can't remember to many bad Wolverine story arcs, can you?

  • Umm, maybe, but if you're referring to why she left I'm pretty sure it was when Mystique took pictures of her and Wolverine getting down (with her as Yukio).
  • Its not a question of bad arcs for me, I just feel that the book had been pretty much just... very average for a long long time. Nothing that made it stand out to me. So its not about it being bad, but rather it simply not being "good". I remember trying to read it at various points and just not being interested. I remember reading that Dr. Rot story and just going meh. Maybe I'm being incredibly critical of it, but whatever, having high standards is good I guess lol.

I'm thinking of picking it up again though... I quite liked the new Silver Samurai.

I understand. I remember things that I didn't like about Wolverine issues but I've always been interested.

Smelly dirtbag. Haven't you noticed that writers keep putting it in often that Wolverine smells bad? That's all BP is worried about. He doesn't want Wolverine's stank to spread near him.
#33 Posted by The_Storm_Goddess (22 posts) - - Show Bio

Ororo is not allowed in Wakanda anymore. That smell ain't going near him so bullshit on that worry.

They're not villains... They're investigators.. But Melita and Logan are no longer together... For some reason, he seems to have no memory of her...

@The_Storm_Goddess:

What gives T'Challa the right to make such a demand? Nothing. Nothing whatsoever.. He's being an ass. The writers are not treating his character well...

He, along with the Avengers, invaded another country without a declaration of war (When they attacked Utopia without cause or provocation)... and then one of T'Challa's friends (Tony Stark, aka 'Doom Lite') splits up the Phoenix Force and forces it onto five unsuspecting Mutants... Then T'Challa and the Avengers continued to attack and harass those mutants until one of them got pissed off and fought back. (that would be Namor) THEN T'Challa declares himself divorced from Storm....

and after all that, he acts like a jealous young school girl who dumped her boyfriend but gets angry when that boyfriend meets another girl... Simple as that....

Yes, the X-Men should definitely had done nothing while the Avengers illegally invaded their country without a declaration of war from congress. Those F*&^ing mutants acting like they should have HUMAN rights... if TChalla and Captain America want to kidnap a citizen of another country, then they should be allowed to kidnap that country's citizen without opposition. To hell with human rights, and mutual respect between countries...

And to make matters worse, those freaking mutants gave the world:

  • Clean Water
  • Free Food
  • Free Energy

Thank God the Avengers kept attacking the X-Men for that. Else, they might not have been so easily swayed by the Phoenix force which TONY STARK (An Avenger) accidentally forced into five X-Men who were never meant to contain that power...

Basically, when mutants are attacked without cause or provocation, by the Avengers, they should learn to lay down and take it... Storm just didn't know her proper place... I guess T'Challa showed that bitch what the cost of fighting for her freedom and the freedom of mutants, cost her! Good for him! Storm wasn't the woman for him. He needs a woman that doesn't have a will or mind of her own....
