What superhero best matches this description?

Hi guys,

I'm working on a marketing assignment to rebrand a product. I'd like to use a superhero as an example of the personality that I want this brand to exhibit. The concept is A Rule Breaking Hero with a sense of humor. He knows there's better way to do things than "the way it's always been done" and he's practical. So the key elements are he (a male works best for this brand) doesn't always play by the conventional rules, but he wouldn't be a killer (so, no deadpool or wolverine). He's also more light-hearted so no Batman. Superman and Captain America are too much of a straight arrow to break any rules. While he doesn't have to be just a "regular guy". I could see that working as well.

I'm thinking Spider-Man, but also looking for some other ideas that might fit better. The more mainstream the better cause I have to explain this to people not familiar with comics.

Thanks for your help on this thought exercise.

Hawkeye

Hawkeye was the first that came to mind. Hercules works too. Spider-Man has the sense of humor, but I don't see him as a rule-breaker (too great of a sense of responsibility).

Marvel's Hercules might be a good choice for what you want.

He's a rule breaking hero who generally doesn't kill (He makes exceptions to save the universe).

He's light hearted and humorous. He's gregarious and kind to women and children.

And though Marvel's Hercules isn't instantly recognizable, his name is recognized and associated with strength and heroism around the world.

Thanks a lot for all the ideas. Green Arrow and Hercules both sound like great calls, but probably too obscure for nonreaders. While their names might be recognizable, if you don't read their comics, you probably don't understand their personalities. I think you guys are right that Spider-Man is probably the best fit.

Spider-Man, The Flash

I would say the new Moon Knight...check him out

He's not TOO mainstream, but he is mainstream enough where you will find info on him.

I'll go with Flash. He's instantly recognizable as it gets and fits the criteria (rulebreaking, lighthearted good guy).

I think this. Spidey isn't a well-know rule breaker but have the other characteristics (Dude! I write that word without help :D I'm so proud of myself) . Flash and Green Arrow are perfect in all aspects.

And for pure curiosity (I'm pretty much curious) What product are u going to rebrand?
