Personally I think he's neat. I hope he manages to keep his left hand together this time.
What's your opinion on Aquaman?
I've always liked Aquaman a great deal. Founding member of the Justice League, able to control sea life, ruler over 70% of the planet. What's not to like?

Seems like a boring character, I think the ocean is just boring in general, I mean people hate water levels in video games too.
I don't like the whole 'army under the sea thing', and he feels alittle redundant with the Shazams and Wonder Womans and Supermans on the team. Just another guy with similar strength levels. DC needs to update some of their outdated 1950's ideas. Clark's glasses disguise, Aquaman's name, stuff like that.
But I don't dislike him, all things considered.

He is not a boring character, read his new 52 series, that gained him a lot of news fans and hopefully it would grab your attention also.
Probably my least favorite of the "magnificent seven" (though that depends on who GL and Flash are), but he's alright.

This is one thing I actually don't like. The notion that the New 52 was Aquaman's saving grace.

Its not a saving grace, I liked aquaman before the new 52 but as you can tell by my comment I am recommending it to someone who does not like him, people who did not like him previously seem to fall for him in the new 52(most likely because they have not read anything else)
I knew someone was going to misinterpret my comment as soon as I posted it.....
(edit) recommending a book which is an easy place to start for someone who does not like aquaman means I am calling it a saving grace, hilarious.....
@thenaughtytitan: It's not you. It's just a huge sticking point with me. Carry on.
He talks to fish and is like useless on land.
Just kidding. He's actually pretty interesting when written properly.

Lol read the first part of your post and was about to flip out lol.....
He's my favorite superhero. I love undersea environments and stories. 99% of comic stories take place on land or in space, so it's a nice change of scenery. Plus there's a lot of story potential with the ocean given how little we actually know about out own planet's waters.
The ASTONISHING work of Craig Hamilton as a penciller for his brilliant writer in the mini series from the mid 80's was one of the things that inspired me to break into PAID work for comics. The whole pagan undersea kingdom as presented by DC back then was AMAZING.
The only sad thing about Aquaman is that for the most part, he will never get writers and artists who bother to know his mythic background as much a Marvel Freelancers did with Namor.
@heatblaze123: Not going to lie, used to hate Aquaman, until I actually read a few Aquaman comics and I quite like him now if i'm honest. Glad I stumbled onto him as a character. I am very curious I thought he'd be more popular but no one seems to be voting for him here
