A version of superman thats set outside of main continuity. Like all star superman or red sun superman.
What's your favorite alternate version of superman
Red Son or Tangent.
@saint_wildcard: Approval from SW about a Superman thing? I've peaked so early on in my life.
The Superman from All Star Superman as well as the Superman from DC animated universe.
@koshi_waza88: Pretty much, don't know if they function exactly like omega beams though haven't read that arc.
Which Superman is this?
Red Son.
Reeves (From I and II)
I don't like Kingdom Come Superman
I'm indifferent too All Star Superman
(@saint_wildcard: MoS is NOT superman! :-) )

You don't like two of the most popular versions and then continue to tell me what isn't Superman? Tisk Tisk Tisk

It's a fair point.
But the fact is that I read my first superman more than 30 years ago and he is one of the few characters, if not the only one, that (for me) has enter the "mainstream" world as a myth.
Christopher Reeve was a good adaptation
Red Son a genius idea
MoS: just a super-hero. Not Superman. I really don't get it how you didn't feel betrayed to see Superman educated by the Kent and still being so impulsive and immature (among other defaults). He was behaving like any other alien with cool superpowers in his learning phase.
To rephrase it, if Superman was really similar to the MoS character, he would have no reason to be part of the modern mythology.
No matter the nature of MoS next feats, he has already proven that he was just a SH lambda. I have no doubt that he will have learned from his mistakes. Like any junior in any new situation. But I don't care. In the movie, he is old enough to have a mature cortex. He is an adult. Whatever he learned as a dilettante SH won't change his fundamental nature. And this person has nice superpowers, with no doubt will become a cool SH. But he is not Superman.
@bullpr: Im just going to say I disagree with almost everything you've said.
@justthatkid: that's earth 2 ... its actually shazam pretending to be superman. . So as a shazam fan this is the best possible incarnation of superman :p
I thought it was impossible for a Shazam fan to refer to him as Shazam? :P

Fine with me. It's a long ongoing debate that I have with @saint_wildcard. I do not try to convince him or anyone. I'm just trying to understand.People who recognized MoS as a good incarnation of Superman are a real, honest mystery for me. Around me (IRL I mean) everybody agree with my point of view, but all of us are/were probably way too old for MoS. No dream attached to this SH. I'm sorry but I love my wife, my kids, my life, my job and I prefer my steak big, fatty, medium rare, and my superman as a perfect guy.
