Kaoi-kens weakness is that its surge in power is rather brief compared to the Super Saiyan mode, and it thrashes your body afterward. King Kai said that your body would be obliterated if you multiply Kaio Ken too many times. Just going x4 left Goku in agony and helpless to Vegeta after his brief surge in strength.

kaioken is lethal to its user and higher multiplications will destroy the user. heck, if goku goes kaioken x50, which is the same power boost of a normal super saiyan, it will kill him.

Kaio Ken puts a much greater strain on the body than super saiyan forms do, with the possible exception of SSj3. Kaio Ken x1,000,000 would make him stronger than any SSj Form, but it would kill goku. There's also no guarantee he could even make it that high without dying first.

No, because every power-up comes with a different disadvantage.

One is a technique where the other is a biological transformation. All races can learn kaioken. Only Saiyans can realize the legend.

@sheryinistoosexy: sort of. He can actually use both at once, but he's only shown to be able to a base Kaio Ken in regular SSj form. It also only lasted for a split second. For, it's not really a viable strategy beyond SSj1, and SSj2 makes Super Kaio Ken obsolete.
