It's a matter of taste, both companies have quality books going around.

You don't want to know whats happening in current comics, trust me!

.....

OK, fine. Loki is now a little kid who has joined the Young Avengers, Cyclops killed Xavier, Superman got one-shotted by Ocean Master, Supergirl has a crush on an evil Kryptonian, Joker's face was ripped off, and Ultron might kill everyone.

@Reignmaker:

Thank you. Believe it or not, it actually didn't take me long at all to write that, lol. I just wrote all my least favorite moments that have happened lately.

Can I ask about when did you stop paying attention? It would help if I knew just how much is "new" to you.

@X1029:

Well, the Hulk works for SHIELD now, Iron Man is in space getting captured by the Shi'ard, the Avengers are fighting cosmic beings who want to eat some pie (I swear, I'm not even kidding), and Thor is fighting someone who looks like Voldemort.

Oh, and the original X-Men have been warped to the present to interact with the present X-Men. Sadly, the present X-Men are all being jerks to the originals, mostly Scott.

We're forgetting a huge one here, guys... Peter Parker is "dead" and Doctor Octopus is Spider-Man.

Well... a lots happening, but we honestly have covered a lot of pretty major bases here. Not everything, of course, I'm not even sure that would be possible... but, yeah, its a pretty eventful time in the comic book world.

@X1029: At this point, is there really a lot of sense in being a Marvel or DC person? There are good comics at most companies these days. It's silly and a waste of time to maintain brand loyalty just for the sake of nostalgia or personal pride.

There is a different in tone, though. I've always seen Marvel and DC maintaining unique tones.

There's also the matter of writers. DC has Grant Morrison, so...
