obviously its called movie magic!
... huh?
I knew there was something wrong with those videos, it didn´t seem as dark as the video said it was when I watched it, now I know I was right.
@saint_wildcard: Nice job comparing two images from completely different scenes, Saint.
@jaken7: As far as I know, this Reddit comment is one of the first pointing out that the "original footage" was altered for that video:

Probably because they did alter the original footage to be darker/more muted.

LOL, they even darkened the BvS trailer

As for the MoS, LabVideo colorization makes it look like a bad technicolor movie. Everything blue looks green and skins look orange.
EDIT: For the people saying "Dude, it's Youtube killing the colors". Here is the same scene compared also from Youtube

And if Youtube is killing the colors, why does their "fix" look so colorful? It's NOT Youtube." END QUOTE
Now that said, this is a stupid discussion anyway. Who gets to tell a creator they made the wrong stylistic choices? What do these people who apparently spent 2 years dwelling on the color palette know anyway? MoS has a ton of haters, and the fact that they treat it like their job, I can assume something: they're simply fanboys and haters.

No, I probably could have gave a better explanation. I replied to you because I noticed the same thing as you, two different pics, haha. So I posted the comment that I believe inspired OP or inspired the person who inspired OP, to show direct comparisons.
The last paragraph wasnt for you in particular (double spaced the paragraph break, but it seems to have reformatted) and it is a general comment for the thread. Sorry for the confusion.
@deaditegonzo: Ah! Ok, ok. Sorry, I got confused. I get it now. Lol
That's pretty sh**ty that they'd alter the original film's saturation in order to make it look bad.
I really despise the amount of comments saying "wow, looks so much better." Are you kidding me? Faces look orange, African plains looks green, and everything appears to be an instagram filter. People can complain all they want about plot points of MoS, but I will never understand criticisms of the cinematography, particularly after seeing the Blu-Ray.
@silverpool: dumba$$€$ gonna dumba$$
I think the movie was great. Looked great, sounded great, acted great. I liked it, is what I'm trying to say.
It seems to be that people who did like the film express opinions while people who didn't enjoy the film believe they express facts and that anyone that feels differently is blind or in denial.

.____. I was too lazy to upload the right one after I posted the thread.

movie magic is when they make make a movies aspects better using cgi

Okay, but I don't think you understand what's going on. A few days ago a video was released saying that MoS was too dark and they showed us brighter versions. Turns out that they altered the original MoS footage and made it look darker so the difference is even more obvious. The Fake Pics are the ones they use, the real ones are the ones that were in the Blu Ray
I don't know what they gained from faking it.
Views, that's how YouTube factors how they'll pay you.
@saint_wildcard: they weren't thinking of the long run. I knew straight away that it was edited and I knew people would find out.
@saint_wildcard: nice job,,Kudos....I don't know what's the problem with people...MOS was an Awesome movie...

Eh, they got their check in the mail. People did find out, but people who hated MoS still cling onto that video

I loved the movie (favorite CBM, possibly going to be surpassed by BvS) and I agree it had it's flaws, but that video was just desperate. They might as well have made a video altering Cav-El's suit by adding the trunks and giving him a spit curl.
@saint_wildcard: MOS will always be hated...for some of the dumbest reasons.
But it doesn't bother me, ever since it was voted by millions as 2013 best blockbuster topping fast and furious 6 & ironman 3. And it was 2013 highest selling DVD. So I know for sure a lot of people loved it.
I knew there something fishy. I kept asking myself if the movie really did look that gray, but I was too lazy to put it on and compare.
I blame @humanrocket
