Ozymandias is the smartest man in the Watchmen universe, Lex is the smartest man in the DC Universe

their both buisnessmen, ambitious....they both believe to be the saviours of humanity...

what is the difference between them

one actually saved humanity in the long run though his actions are questionable.

That whole obsession he has with Superman- almost makes you think that Luthor's holds his hatred for Supes because he rejected his man-crush back when they were teenagers. It's debatable that Lex is the smartest man in the DCU, but Adrien did what he did for the greater good of humanity, while Lex does what he does out of his hate for meta-humans.

Ozy is a very delusional individual, but I suppose the same could be said about Lex.

There are definite similarities and the characterization of current Lex Luthor is almost identical, a rich, super genius willing to do horrible things to save humanity but at the end of the day Lex's driving default motivation is proving he's the best and a writer will return him to that eventually.
