What is Thor's best fight?

Looking through my Superman comics and i found that, imo, Superman's best fight as far as illustration probably damage output was Superman versus Zod in Superman: For Tomorrow. So it made me curious as to what Thor fans consider Thor's best brawl. Was it his recent fight against Gorr or is it another one I am not privy to?

I liked his fight with Gorr, Sentry in Uncanny Avengers, and his fight with Superman.

Any other fights? I would think Thor had more great fights

One of my favorites is his rematch with the unstoppable Juggernaut. It was a nice brawl and the ending is among the best in my opinion.

Has Thor ever fought Hyperion or gladiator?

His fight with Gorr has to be one of the best. I really don't know of many others....

Yes to both. Although I'm not sure if that last scan is a alternate version of Thor or simply a costume change.

@battle_forum_junkie: reg thor has fought gladiator multiple times as well. Can't post the picsnow on phone. Look around and yyou'll find them.

As far as his best battle? Tough call. Some memorable ones for me are: vs brb, vs celestials, vs hercules, vs surtur, vs odin, vs hulk.

Except that Thunderstrike fight there is also Thor fight too in the mighty thor series that he teamed up with Thor Girl

Nothing beats a classic.

Surfer has always been one of my favorite opponents for Thor.

Even their more recent fights have been amazing.

Thor vs. Desak was my favorite battle who can dislike such epic battle!

I'm partial to Odin in the Destroyer Armor / swinging the Odinsword around demolishing Thor in Man of War, although against Gorr we did have three-times the Thor for one's comic which was pretty awesome.

Thor vs all the Ultrons in Ultron unlimited was a good battle. The rest of the Avengers were there but Thor shined pretty bright.

Him vs thanos. Though it was short his fight with mangog was alright.

Thor vs Mangog, 3 Thors vs Gorr, Thor vs The Destroyer, Thor vs Borr in JMS' run and Thor vs Loki in issue 300 are some of my favourite Thor fights.

Anyone remember what Thor Series it was when Thor turned into that big God like creature?

I nominate the fight with Worthy Hulk and Worthy Thing in Fear Itself (which wasn't that bad).

There's just so many to choose from with Thor. I thought he had many impressive battles throughout Jurgen's run, although fighting the Destroyer and Mangogg stand out. Several of his older battles with the Destroyer are also impressive, and from a visual/drama perspective, his fight with Thanos during Infinity Gauntlet was fantastic, even if Thor was destined to lose. His fight with Loki in Thor 432 was also pretty epic.

Best fight: Thor vs (1/5 phoenix force) Emma Frost...

That was one of the worst.....

Thor's fight with with his Bor was by far my favorite battle of all time. Good fighting sequence including swatting away the Dark Avengers like they were ants, it also had a great meaning and was emotional as Bor thought he was fighting a thief of the Odinforce while Thor didn't even know he had killed his own Grandfather.

The 3 Thors vs Gorr comes at second place

when Thor fights the designate inside the destroyer armor it's pretty sick. regular mortals can't even view it only beings from higher planes of existence.

Thor vs the actual phoenix force out is space was far from one of his coolest fights but it was an awesome showing. especially considering he got shat on for the rest of AvX.

Does Thor have any fights without Mjolnir? Or any weapon for that matter. Does Thor have any fights just h2h?

@sog7dc: His famous fight with Beta Ray Bill for who was more worthy to wield Mjolnir was all h2h. Also one of my favorite classic Thor fights.

Why?...It showed his willpower and persistence against a much stronger opponent...I wouldn't call it the worst...well, in the end he got humiliated, but that's not all that matters....The important thing is that he managed to get past this loss and continue the fight....

Is that finally a showing of him using his h2h skill?

I think that,against foes that he's more on par with,he uses brawling and such,but when he's outmatched he often resorts to using his superior skill. And that's different from Wonder Woman,who uses her h2h on a more regular basis (being that Thor is matched by few).

@cameron83: I think that Thor likes a good fight. So he tried to fight equally with people. That is why he is portrayed as a brawler most of the time instead of using his more powerful abilities or skill.

@bgibs13390: That and brawling is probably the most enjoyable/fun way to fight when you're a nigh-invulnerable guy.

That seems like a more plausible reason than mine.

His fight with Hulk in Thor #385 was amazing, one of if not my favorite fights in all of comics.
