As the title says, what is the most overpowered weapon that a superhero carries with them? Excluding things that can be picked up by anyone, out of all the supers that have their equipment which is the most OP? Meaning, things that characters have with them like WW's lasso, Thor's hammer etc etc which weapon that characters carry that is their weapon is OP?
What is the most overpowered weapon in comics?

Infinity Gauntlet anyone?
I doubt that there has been either a weapon or character within the Marvel Universe that could stand up against someone wielding the Infinity Gauntlet.

have you read the back story on the infinity gems?
What do you mean?
Well I was going to say the Ultimate Nullifier but I think also go with the Infinity Gauntlet with all Infinity Gems.

He's talking about character specific weapons. The IG and UN don't qualify.
Depends really. How do we define what's a character specific weapon? Thor's hammer and Wonder Woman's lasso are associated more with them than any other, but more people have used both of them than say the Infinity Gauntlet or the Heart of the Universe. Then overpowered by what standard? Typically something thats overpowered is as so because they render opposition obsolete or redundant and or the application of power is impractical. A jet engine on a bike, or a guy with a rocket launcher versus a rabbit. So Thor and Wonder Woman's weapons are suitably powerful for them rather than necessary overpowered. Where as say the Heart of the Universe was created because the writer of the story wanted his favorite character to be able to destroy Galactus, Celestials and the Living Tribunal - something that probably shouldn't happen on any consistent basis. So thats arguably a good example of something being overpowered.
My pick is Tippy Toe. He is a sentient weapon that is associated to Doreen Green.

Guys this is what characters carry on them at all times. So the IG is out, this is for weapons that characters carry with them.
You kind of took all the fun out of the topic with that stipulation. i guess green lantern's ring would be the most over powered weapon since you don't allow the ig or ultimate nullifier(or however you spell that).
The Crimson Gem of Cyttorak
It's basically the Infinity Gauntlet put into One Gem, but Juggernaut primarily uses it for physical power. Other characters has used it as the Mind Gem and Other characters has used it as a Space, Time and Reality Gem.
Staff of Polar Power
This was one of the Weapons which Living Tribunal feared. A part of a character known as Nebulos. This staff of was powerful, even the Living Tribunal's powers could not effect it.
Power Rings
Green Lantern rings are powerful weapons that create construct of energy by the will power of the barer. However, the effects are only a powerful as its wielders will, but even despite the power of their will, the Rings have a battery life like a cell phone and needs to be recharged every other hour.
Quantum Bands
Just like the Power Rings but they don't run out of power.
Twilight Sword
One of the most powerful forged weapons in Marvel. Magically imbued and is able to destroy stars depending on its wielder. But this weapon is not above the Living Tribunal unlike the Staff of Polar Power.
Cloak of Levitation
Turns its wielder into a Sorcerer Supreme
Dr. Doom's Armor (or Doom Bots)
Doom Bots are one of the most powerful weapons in Marvel. They are 50% capable of the real Dr. Doom, but they don't use magic. One Doom Bot is powerful enough to defeat Thor and Magus. One of the Doom Bots Dr.Doom created was also able to temporarily keep in the Uni Power from Captain Universe.
I'm surprised no-one has mentioned these:
Saint Of Killers Revolvers
Why are they so powerful?
Anyone can wield them. They NEVER run out of ammo. They never NEVER jam. The bullets ALWAYS hit their mark regardless of where the target is. The bullets ALWAYS kill no matter who, what or where the bullets hit.
Essentially these are a pair of weapons that never miss and always 1-shot kill the target no matter who it is. Yep definitely the most powerful (Saint killed God with them!!!).
The Vorpal Sword can cut almost anything with one swing. No matter how weak the swing or how deep the cut, it will always sever or split the object all the way through. The only known defenses for it are the Witching Cloak or the combined protective magic of thousands of conquered fable worlds.
The Witching Cloak is indestructible, allows the wearer to teleport and shape-shift, and can trap anything or anyone no matter what the size or dimensions in its unlimited storage space.
Both can technically be used and have been used by multiple characters, but almost the only one shown to ever use and master them is Boy Blue.

Think about it. All the other weapons listed are powerful, but they're JUST powerful. There's generally something or someone that can overpower them. Batman's utility belt? It ALWAYS has EXACTLY what he needs to succeed. It truly is the most powerful weapon in comics.
this, thats why batmans awesome
the most over powered weapon has got to be 'prep' since only batman can wield it. every battle on this forum with prep only batman uses it. the other character just takes his prep and goes to a bar or something and gets beaten by bats.
@KnightRise: I personally believe that the IG is suppose to be that powerful. came from a cosmic entity. If it was made by ironman or Mr. Fantastic than it would be stupid.
@borges: Same thing with the power cosmic. The originator of the PC is one of the most powerful beings of the universe.... it is suppose to be that powerful.
@Crom-Cruach: Are they that powerful.. ive been trying to read them and could never get a real gauge of their power levels.
@Strider92: Very good choice

Thx. Weapon-wise its hard to get anything stronger as no matter what your enemy has as long as you have time to pull the trigger you auto-win. There's no way around it. Don't see any weapon being much more oped than that -.o

Each of them individually once mastered give the power of a literal god. When a person has the entire set, he remakes reality to his whim.
@Crom-Cruach: whoa... thats boss. I knew the darkness and angelus were beastin... didnt know the rest of em were that good
