What is the level of aquamans strength?
He has held together techtonic plates, and he casually throws around huge ships. My favourite one is where he showed moon level lifting strenght; he stopped the strenght of someone who was gonna drop the 7 seas (or continents).
@wrglfan2814: What do you mean by that? The dudes body is designed to survive the pressure of the ocean floor.
Mid level powerhouse level. Below superman, Thor, etc..

Interesting I actually wanna see that feat.
Can you present the feat or ad least the issue the feat is from?
@captain_batman_ftw: when did this moon level thing happen.
@wrglfan2814: Well, I don't think he 'punched him out' just away. And its DC. All their characters are uber.
@wrglfan2814: Dude Pre-52 Aquaman lifted a city block.
100,000 ton league.
@wrglfan2814: That's pretty badass
@captain_batman_ftw: when did this moon level thing happen.
I think that the force of busting the seven seas is good enough to bust a moon. That's why I said that he had moon level strenght; it happened when he was facing the Dead King, but I can't remember which issue it was. I think it was Aquaman #26, the New 52.

@wrglfan2814: It's because ever since that 1960's show which made Aquaman seem lame, people have assumed he is just that, lame. So the writers have been consistent, it's peoples negative assumptions about him that make it seem like he has "pointless" power boosts.
@captain_batman_ftw: @captain_batman_ftw: I have those books he never busted the seven seas, he did toss around a sub and WW2 cruiser underwater. The continent busting tank is false, the scepter had to make contact with the ground to cause the earthquake just like in issue 19(?) the Dead King drove the scepter into the deck of the ship to freeze everyone one board. Arthur is incredibly strong,I'd put him mid tier calm Hulk level. His durability is written very inconsistently however, he's been run through by his scepter, cut by bullets but he's stood in volcanic fissures with no harm, he's been KO'd by an exploding ship but yet survived being smashed by a 200 foot tall fire god in issue 40.
@wavemotioncannon: No, it wasn't the power of the scepter that was going to destroy the seven seas; it was the Dead King's own strenght. Hence why I labeled it asa strenght feat.
He's a shade under Wonder Woman in terms of strength. He's outclassed in terms of overall power.
Of the original N52 JL, he's the third strongest. In terms of power, 4th behind Superman, Diana, and GL. I do t know how powerful Barry is, but he might be placed ahead of Arthur as well.
@captain_batman_ftw: it was the scepter,it's magic. He forged it from Atlantean talismans and he used it when he sunk Atlantis the first time. Read issue 24.
@justthatkid: issue 5 plane explodes stranding him in the desert. Like I said he's been cut by bullets, ran through by his scepter and ice spears from the Dead King also bitten by the Trench. On the other hand he's survived the heat of volcanic fissures, KO'd himself being launched from low orbit by Mera and survived being smashed into the ground by a fire god (big as Topo) and survived with scars and a black eye, he was temporarily KO'd then too. He's a beast thanks to Johns.
@wavemotioncannon: Can you post one scan confirming it? I read those a long time ago.
@captain_batman_ftw: I'm on ipad won't let me. I'll post when I get to my laptop.
@wavemotioncannon: He didnt get KO from the orbit drop. He got up immediately there wasnt even a 3 count there.
@captain_batman_ftw: i hate posting scans but Atlans shown here forging the scepter and its made from six magic talismans.
@justthatkid: I'm not downing Aquaman if that's what you think, I said he was a beast but his durability goes up and down thats all. The metal stuck in his leg came after the plane exploded, maybe he's like WW, impact and environment don't affect him as much as piercing damage? In the 2nd scan he looks KO'd to me even if its only some seconds, he wasn't responding to Mera at first, seems out of it IMO.
@wavemotioncannon: Still not a knockout. He was stunned a bit from the impact.
@wavemotioncannon: Still not a knockout. He was stunned a bit from the impact.
@justthatkid: my thing about the scepter was to let captainbatman_ftw know the scepter has magical properties and it wasn't all just the Dead Kings strength.
@chimeroid. A stun is KO doesn't have to be 3 or 10 count. He's clearly out of it and not responding to Meras message.
@chimeroid: @wavemotioncannon: Aquaman wasn't knocked out for a while due to the impact. The impact did nothing to him. The reason as for why that happened was because Aquaman tried to take control over the beast with telepathy, but the beast's telepathy was too strong.
@justthatkid: I agree it needs some more explanation. The DK used the scepter to freeze the ship and everyone on it too , he used the same motion plunging it into the deck of the ship so I assumed it has to make contact with whatever he's trying to effect. It should be safe to assume the scepter has to have some extraordinary properties as it was forged magically and the dead king wasn't freezing people and busting continents before he made it.
@captain_batman_ftw: he didn't attempt TP with the Karaquan until after he'd already hit it from the stratosphere. He hit it and was clearly dazed enough to not answer Mera on comms.

but dazed is still not knocked out especially since he recovered in an instant
