What is the difference between PSYCHIC and PSIONIC?

With respect to the POWERS described on this site, what is the difference between PSYCHIC and PSIONIC?

Psychic is more... being a telepath (read minds communicate without talking etc.) than using it to move objects and/or shoot of mind waves or kinetic energy

Psionic seems to me to do things with your mind which are more active moving things or mentally blasting someone. Although when some people say Psionic, they mean psychic things too. I translate it as in the realm of affecting something else.

I always thought of Psionics as low-scale reality warping on specifically affected things without full transmutation.

They're basically the same, apart from a few elements. Both are mind-based abilities that likely include telepathy, empathy, or any type of mind power.

With psychic, it can also just mean that you can see the future... With psionic, you usually can visualize your mind power like having astral projections, and even energy projection/telekinesis.

Though I tend to refer to Psionic as a more broad type of total mind power: TP, TK, Matter, Molecular manip, Reality warping etc etc...

Whereas Psychic as more concentrated on Telepathy- mind reading, mind posession/control etc and TK.

As for the question, I think they are pretty much the same thing.

The only difference is “Psionics” are the mental energy and powers themselves.

To be “Psychic“ are those specific abilities that require the use of your mind to control or use your powers.

”Psychics” are the people/beings that use them.

Hm. I'd say psychic relates to this relationship that "psychic" ability and mind of that who posses it. While psionic is a broader idea, a force that makes it all going. Like Astral Plane. It's filled with psionic energy, and it makes psychic ability manifest. Basically psychic is a pull, psionic is the gravity.
