I have to keep mine short, because I try to stay under 30 dollars a month:

  • Green Arrow
  • TMNT
  • Unity
  • X-O Manowar
  • Regular Show

And for limited series:

  • The Star Wars
  • TMNT: Utrom Empire
  • Regular Show: Skips

I was going to read Winter Soldier: The Bitter March, but I dropped it after one issue for budget reasons.

@captaintightpants12: Nice list! Need moar indie comics though :)

I forgot Walking Dead too! But yeah, I've dipped my toe in the Indy Pool quite a bit, just haven't found a lot of books that have kept my interest. I'm going to be checking out Abe Sapien next week, and I've been picking up Hellboy in Hell when it pops up, but it's got such a weird schedule.

@captaintightpants12: Check out Valiant. I can't recommend their stuff enough. I'm pulling every book their putting out right now lol.

  • Wonder Woman
  • Flash
  • Batman
  • Batman/Superman
  • Detective comics
  • Green Arrow.
  • Afterlife with Archie

I'll probably drop WW when Azz leaves and pick up JLU and Eternal. If Damian comes back I'll start picking up Batman and Robin again. I'm also thinking of adding Action Comics to my list.

#10 Posted by Bierschneeman (3942 posts) - - Show Bio

  • Silver Surfer
  • Deadpool
  • Thor

I buy far too few comics due to university and not wishing to distract myself from work too much. Only 4 titles of my current pull list

  • Superman Unchained
  • Thor: God of Thunder
  • Wonder Woman
  • Indestructible Hulk

But after my first year of uni finishes, I'll pick up several more books on my pull list

  • Action Comics (to replace Unchained)
  • Hulk (to replace Indestructible Hulk)
  • Justice League United
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
  • Lazarus
  • C.O.W.L.

geez I haven't seen it written out like that. my goal is to catch up on Hellboy and BPRD and add them both to my list but there's a lot of both of them and money isn't cheap.

#27 Posted by CaptainTightpants12 (122 posts) - - Show Bio

@jaken7: My major issue is the tie-ins, haha. I picked up Catwoman because I figured it was going to tie-in to Justice League of America quite a bit, obviously, not so much. Red Lanterns was kind of the same way, and I was reading Green Lantern Corps too, but I dropped both of them until they decided to make Supergirl a Red Lantern.

It doesn't help that I'm a big Superman fan. That has put eight books alone on my pull-list and you could say the same thing about Batman.

#28 Posted by JakeN7 (11777 posts) - - Show Bio

@captaintightpants12: Yeah, you're the only person I've met that unironically buys Catwoman. Lol. And I started picking Red Lanterns up with the new creative team. One of my favorite series now. Guy Gardner has never been cooler or more interesting to me. I used to read no Superman comics. Then came along Unchained. And then Greg Pak wrote Batman and Superman. Then he became the new Action Comics writer. Then Supergirl crossed over with Red Lanterns. Then it was announced that Johns and JRJR were taking over Superman. I also meant to pick up Superman and Wonder Woman, but decided to trade wait. So yeah, I'm basically reading (or will be) all of them now. Lol.

I read almost all of Batman's titles too, but I refuse to read Dark Knight.

Don't worry, once I post my list it'll be rather large as well. I'm really trying to cut back though. Lol.

#29 Posted by CaptainTightpants12 (122 posts) - - Show Bio

@jaken7: Catwoman has been one of the roughest books of the New 52, no doubt about it. I really hoped being brought into the fold for Justice League of America would be a big game-changer for her, but it really wasn't. She needs a better writer.

I don't dislike Red Lanterns, and I really like Charles Soule (I'll be picking up his She-Hulk book once he gets a new artist.), and in a perfect world I'd keep reading it, but it's an easy cut in terms of "What books are at the bottom of my read-pile every wednesday?" As I've tried to cut it down, Red Lanterns will get the axe. I just don't love it as much as I love the other books I'm reading, or at least have the connections to other books I want.

Pak, Snyder, and Soule have been god sends for Superman. I hate Scott Lobdell with a passion, I barely even read the Teen Titans book I pick up every month due to my OCD for needing to have complete runs and I had to believe a better writer would come along.

Same here on Batman except I dropped Birds of Prey because I feel like it's really gone down hill since the departure of Starling, I couldn't get into Batwing, and Dark Knight started as an excuse for David Finch to draw Batman and since his departure, it's really been a rough read. The first Scarecrow arc was alright, but the rest has been pretty bad.

@captaintightpants12: I'm actually not reading Birds of Prey either, I only picked it up when it had the 1 issue crossover with Talon.

You're a better (or worse?) man than I. I dropped Teen Titans like a bad habit early on. Picked it up again for DotF but that's it. Tim Drake is the Robin I grew up with, and he's one of my favorite characters, but Scott Lobdell is my most loathed man in comics.

Yeah, I read BoP and Teen Titans up until a few months ago out of love for the characters...but the titles are just bad imo, I had to drop them, along with Superman...seriously, come on Lobdell.

Teen Titans is breaking my heart, haha. Like @the_stegman, it's out of my love for the characters and hoping that each of those books will get better. I kept thinking, "It's the Teen Titans. They have to know how terrible it is. They have to know that we need a better writer. It'll happen any day now." And now they're canceling the book with Lobdell.

For shame.

Wow. I'm seeing allot of people here getting 15+ single issues a month... It makes my current 3 look a bit weak. :P

Anyway, I've dropped a few titles recently and I'm still looking for comics to fill the gaps in my pull-list. Right now I've got Batman, Green Arrow and Five Ghosts, and I'm pretty set on adding Invincible, Velvet, Hawkeye and maybe Manifest Destiny once I get caught up on my reading.

@bierschneeman: Again... In my defense, haha... Thought we were going to see a lot of tie-ins with Justice League of America. There are few things I loath more than opening up an issue and seeing "continued from [insert some book I didn't buy]" and then have to go back to the comic book store to pick it up, or the festering "Wanna know what that was about? Check out [insert some book I didn't buy]" thoughts.

I'd love to be into the book. Catwoman is an awesome character. She just hasn't had a good writer. At any point so far.

umm, you don't really need a defense, I see the size of your pull list, at that point Catwoman NEEDS to be on your list (as far as DC/Marvel goes) you already have the best stuff on there, and the good stuff, and some of the okay stuff... Catwoman belongs in the okay category, but it is MILES better than some of the stuff you are leaving behind on the racks.

we all have opinions, there are a few I would rather get, (like Moon Knight). but hey, we all have different tastes, and with a list that size, we are bound to disagree on something. again, you don't need to defend yourself against buying catwoman with the list as it is.

@battle_forum_junkie: it's not bad. I only have 6 on my list. I do get a lot of new #1s that come out Ill read them and decide if I like it and continue to reading them. I've picked up the recent New Warriors, Ms Marvel and Avengers World and didn't feel them so dropped after the first few issues. If your looking for another series to add to your pull list you should consider Moon Knight. I've been debating on either adding that or the Inhuman series coming up in April but I've heard so much good from issue one of Moon Knight that I'm thinking about jumping back in to the character. I say pick up the first issue and see how you like it I'm doing the same later today.

I've only been getting into pull lists recently. Before, I just impulse buyed or backtracked.

I only have: Superior Spiderman and Fantastic Four so far. Once I catch up on the New 52 timeline, I'll add some titles from other publishers, once my pull list (and income) gets stable enough.
