What is going to take to make the other characters "mainstream." - Gen. Discussion

As much as I love Superman, Batman, The Hulk, and Spiderman there has to be a HUGE push toward the other superheros there cant just be a constant loop of Superman,Spiderman, and Batman movie/tv show remakes for eternity. These characters have been popular for many decades and more to come obviously,cant the comicbook companies just take a chance and invest in new character? Does any else think its time for new blood maybe a push toward underexposed characters like Black Panther( This movie is long overdue.) or maybe a newly made character?

Good movies are how you push a not very well known character into prominence. The sad thing is that because these characters aren't very well known, studios are afraid to take a chance on them. Of course here-and-there a fairly unknown character will get a shot (Marvel's been doing really good at that lately). I would love nothing more than to see the great B and C-list heroes of Marvel, DC, Image, or even Dark Horse get really good movies and thus coupled with those movies, popularity.
