Some possible cool ones I thought of were:
captain planet, captain falcon, powerpuff girls, power rangers, super-mario?, the joker, frozone, flash gordon, he man - so did you guys have any other ideas?
I'd like to stay away from your traditional spandex-wearing comic book heroes (batman, superwoman, superman, robin, etc.)
I'm male btw, but cross-dressing costumes can often be the best costumes in my experience. ;-)
