What if "Superman Lives" actually was made?

How do you think it may have affected the way people looked at comic books? Do you think it would have been good or bad?

For anyone who doesn't know what this is, "Superman Lives" was a film that was in development and was going to be directed by Tim Burton and written by Kevin Smith, and was going to star Nicholas Cage as the Man of Steel. Many other ideas have been made for the film as well, as Nick Cage was trying out all kinds of bizarre costumes.

I read a while ago they had some idea for him to fight a Giant Alien Spider thing i thought that was funny.

I have no idea what this movie would even be like. Directed by Tim Burton? Written by Kevin Smith? Starring Nicholas Cage as Superman?!? I mean I honestly can't even imagine this movie, I'm guessing it wouldn't have done comic-book movies any favor though.

It had a stereotypical black homosexual sounding Robot.

Superman not flying, not wearing the suit, and Doomsday whom was only placed in to "Kill" Superman. Then simply fade away from the minds of the masses.

A Polar Bear wrestling Braniac, and a Giant Spider from Thanegar.

Sounds like it would have been the best Superman or Comic film ever made.

If this movie was actually released, DC would have gone out of business. Fans would have rioted and destroyed everything in their wake. I can't imagine a worse movie being made ever in the history of cinema. Nick Cage as Superman? Ugh.

@imagineman16: See someone agrees with me. Now if only we can get back Nolan to make the Gordon-Levitt Nightwing/Robin film.
