He really doesn't need it. It's like having 32 gb ram on your high end computer while 16 gb is more than sufficient.

I don't think it would change all that much actually. Flash would only be pointless in JL stories, in his own stories his city still needs a protector. And superman is also super fast, making him faster wouldn't make him that much more overpowered.

@jayc1324: I would say pico-second reaction time and being as fast flash would make him plenty more overpowered.
