What If Batman Became The Spectre? - Gen. Discussion

What would Batman do if he died, and became the next host of the Spectre?
Would he do a better Job then Corrigan, Hal, or Allen?

Batman prefers not to kill. The Spectre... no. Wouldn't work.

He would have to find some way to Batkick himself in the jaw.

Spectre with the Bat factor would beat the presence. :p

Even God would bow down to him.

I think it could make for an interesting one shot. Batman dieing and becoming the new host, struggling between his nature and his mandate as God's hitman, no longer capable of stopping crime, only avenging it, trying t ofind a way out of that deal and all.

But it couldn't be more than a one shot elseworlds. The two characters can't work in a long run.

I'd think maybe one of those Else World's Graphic Novels because I could see it being one book with a lot of info. If it were a one shot, it'd probably only be 22 or so pages which isn't a lot. But that's just me.

@Pistolwhip1: I don't think it could work for more than a day or so because the two are way too incompatible. Now if you really want something terrifying, you let Franck Castle (The Punisher) merge with the Spectre.

Well Hal had the Green Lantern symbol on his chest, so I take he would have the Bat symbol on his, as well as a newly god like utility belt.
Then of course his slogan would at least be compatible " I am vengeance, I am the night, I am Batman!"

I think he would fall into the role really well as long as he figures how to apply the role without killing (which he could do) I agree with the above post that the Punisher would be brutal though.

I doubt if God would Bow down to him. Satan would cause Spectre to bow down let alone GOD. If God wanted he could erase Spectre from existense by thinking it.
