What if Batman and Superman switched roles?

What if Superman took Batman's approach of striking fear into the heart of villains and Batman took Superman's "trying to see the good in all" approach?

How would that work out?

All of the Superman villains die while all of the Batman villains watch the world burn.

But Batman doesn't kill even with his approach

Why would Superman become one?

Supermans would scare all his villains into philanthropy, selflessness, atonement, and clean living. Batman would probably be laughed out the building.

Superman's Villains all give up crime and lead as normal lives as possible, Batman dies or at least stays the same.....

In some way it would still end in Batman vs Superman flame war.

Superman would be hated by his own city, especially with Luthor adding fuel to the fire. While Gotham would descend into anarchy and pretty much remain the same it was before Batman came along.

Batman would use his money and 'super-science' to reform gotham, possibly rivalling metropolis.

The JLA would have to be mobilised to bring down Tyrant superman when be becomes the 'dark knight' of the world.

There wouldn't be a Batman, just Bruce Wayne using his cash to make Gotham a better place. Meanwhile, Superman would probably be wanted by the government, someone having that much power and using fear as a means of enforcement won't go over too well.

i imagine batman becoming a lex luthor/tony stark. fighting the good fight, with a super high tech armour that shows his face so he can inspire hope.

superman, well metropolis would be crime free. as every bad guy would be scared shitless of a scary dark figure, looking like a dracula that can pretty much do anything

batman dies the moment doomsday appears in metropolis and superman becomes a justice lord of sorts in gotham

So they keep there powers and abilities but change attitudes then Superman becomes a dictator like Injustice and Batman realizes that he can't do it Supermans way so he either goes back to his old ways, dies or retires? No Batman wouldn't retire.

Batman will be effective and Superman will become the enemy of the world.
