What happened to Spider-Man's "The Other" powers?

I've noticed that it disappeared for no specific reason?

One More Day happened and the powers were retconned out of existence. Same with his organic webbing.

@life_without_progress: The Other was rejected by Peter, so it left him for another spider-totem. Kaine Parker, his clone, is in current possession of the Other.

Retconned by the writers.
