What does the term Skyfather mean to You?

Many like to throw around the word skyfather without knowing what it actually means. When we think of skyfathers we think of characters like Odin, Dormammu, Zeus and etc in the Marvel universe. Is the word skyfather now merely just a label or does it follow a category of characterization how does the term differ in the Marvel universe when in comparison to the other universes present in other media?

Can you list any other skyfather character within any other universe/media and also can you list the requirements for one being a skyfather?

Chief deity.

Probably higher in other forms.

In Marvel it means beings like Odin, Zeus, Vishnu, Osiris. On cv, it means anyone on their tier of power.

Skyfather isn't an easy term to define in battle forum slang. Because it's a preexisting term with a warped meaning depending on the character in question.

Power level measure

Head deity.

A character who can bust galaxies, represents a specific tier and etc.

I think of a cloud-dad. I wish I had a cloud dad..

Tier level of measurement.

Sky father = old guys with long beard who acts all tough and wise, and also loves drinking.

That's what I always picture when anyone says sky father.

Imo he is clearly as powerful as Odin.

It does not mean anything at all. Most of them don't even have any feats that could possibly make them conceivable in Odin's level of power. It's almost as silly as the term "herald level" character. NONE of the herald characters are on the same level as the Surfer. More shenanigans from people who want to categorize everyone.

Skyfather's generally refer to the chief deity of a pantheon. They are the rulers of the heavens and generally have a close association with with the sky (lightning, thunder, rain etc...). In marvel it can generally be taken as a galaxy buster. These beings can take heralds in one shot, with little to no effort.

Marvel term that mainly fits Zeus, as the literal god of the sky. But is also closely related to Odin, because he is of the same status (king/leader of gods, or in Marvel; God-Head) and power as that of Zeus, while not being a sky-associated god. Used anywhere else it is a comparison of power, to say a character matches the powers of Zeus and Odin (in their Marvel forms).

Skyfather is not just a power level to me. It's a position as well. Just because you are as powerful as one doesn't make you one, I believe you have to be the head of a group of other beings, like how Odin and Zeus are, in order to be a Skyfather. Similar to the All-father. Position, not power.

A Skyfather to me, is someone who is a diety, and rules over a pantheon, and wields massive power.

Skyfather level on the other hand, is anyone on their level of power.

A skyfather is someone who is a ruler over his or her race of gods. In the battle forums, skyfathers are said to be more powerful than heralds, a term used to describe versatile flying bricks. Skyfathers may range in power and on the Vine is determined by how much destructive power they possess. Some skyfathers are violent and others are peaceful which may conflict with the Vine's view on feats. I believe certain abilities may also classify whether a character is a skyfather or not.

sky father is a term for a recurring concept of a sky god who is addressed as a "father", often the father of a pantheon. The concept of "sky father" may also be taken to include Sun gods with similar characteristics

In terms of tiers, I use it to describe anyone above Thanos and below Galactus
