or what about a character do you wish wasn't true?
i wish "deadpool" wasn't canadian. jk.
i wish batman had a different reason to become batman and fight crime, watching your parents get murdered right in front of you as a child can really mess you up, luckily he came out for the better no thanks to some help ($$$).
1) Batman and Robin used to sleep in the same bed.
2) Mia Dearden (Speedy) was a child prostitute and is HIV-positive.
3) Renee Montoya (now the Question) is a lesbian, going out with Batwoman.
4) That Storm once lost her powers because of Forge.
5) Northstar was gay.
6) Icemaiden used to eat baby seals.
7) Fire only had the ability to breath green flame from her nose before her powers were increased.
8) Gehenna (The new Firstorm's girlfriend) looks like a young adult like Firestorm, but is really seven year old. Very disappointing.
9) At first, Black Lightning had to rely on a belt for his powers when he first appeared as a superhero.
10) That Wolverine found out about his biological past in his solo series.
NiteFly says:
"Why is everyone so overly concerned with characters being gay?"
I think they need some Gleemonex.
Hulkling is Gay
Bat-Man and Robin used to sleep in the Same Bed
Etrigan is a Demon (I wish he was'nt)
Renee Montoya (now the Question) is Gay and going out with Batwoman.
Oh, and Hellboy (I wish he never happened.)
aztek_the_lost says:
"I know this goes right along with what you were saying NiteFly but for me it was that Anole is gay as for Doctor Dare's comment, if Etrigan wasn't a demon he wouldn't exist...being a demon is all he is, nothing more"
I know, I wish he was an Angel.
Ghost Rider being an angel was one of the lamest things I've read.
@aztek: you should watch the video I posted on the last page
aztek_the_lost says:

Spawn (AT ONE TIME) was an Angel.

Oh no, I read what you said, I just see a Demon as "Too Flawed" to be a Hero.
And yeah, Gay Dudes creep me out.

Why is Ghost Rider being an Angel, A Bad thing?
Just because a guy is gay, doesn't mean he's attracted to you, or that he will act on it (if he is) knowing that you are straight. I know a few gay guys and they have never tried it on with me (and I'm super hunky).
I have nothing against the idea of an angelic hero, I wish DC would do more with Zauriel. Ghost Rider becoming an angel was dumb because it had been firmly established that he was a demon. It just ignored his continuity.
NiteFly says:
"Catwoman is a prostitute?? I don't read Batman stuff, but I've never heard that one."
read Batman Year One, Catwoman, or Selena Kyle before she became Catwoman, was a prostitute working for Stan Flannery (Her pimp) in Gotham, most of her customers during that time were actually policemen.
bare in mind this was pre-Gordon, but the original Catwoman stuff was heavily 18 rated, sex, drugs, murder... the whole 9 yards. to be honest, if it had stayed as it was, i'd probably be reading more of it now.

If Anole wasn't gay we wouldn't have what I would consider one of the greatest moments in comic book history: "amusing, yes, but you see I don't care if those other characters are gay cause I don't like them but Anole...it's different"
With a nmae like Anole, how can;t you be gay? lol

I could'nt Disagree more with the Ghost Rider comment, (I too like Zauriel and wish they would do more with him), But about Ghost Rider it was best put in an Interview with (The Best...) Writer Daniel Way.
"So, Daniel, You turned Ghost Rider into an Angel....Does'nt that mess up EVERY thing the fans knew about him?"
"No, In fact, Was'nt he always an Angel in a way? Would a Demon REALLY go around saving people and making Bad guys feel remorse for their sins?"
I agree that it doesn't make sense that a demon would do what Ghost Rider does. However, an angel wouldn't go around claiming to be a demon or force himself on a human who had sold his soul to the Devil (for no matter how noble a reason).
Doctor Dare says:
"No, Demons Serve the Devil. The Devil enjoys things like Rape, Murder, All that stuff. It's in the Bible."
no it isn't...
the devil, satan, whatever you want to call him, is never mentioned in the bible... i know that for a fact after 3 years of mythology and philosophy A-Levels lol

@Cosmic- Their is a Very good reason why that the Angel was bonded with Ghost Rider
@ Methos- Satan is mentioned in the Bible.
Doctor Dare says:
"Satan is mentioned in the Bible."
if you actually read the bible, Satan is jesus in the bible...
quotes as needed to prove this.
There’s a passage in the Old Testament which is commonly used as Biblical “proof” of the character of Lucifer, the proud angel who rebelled against God and was thrown out of Heaven. It comes from Isaiah 14:12,
"How you have fallen from heaven,O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!"
Lucifer is translated as “light bringer” but also as “the morning star.” Cool, so Lucifer, right? Well, then what the hell is Jesus doing saying this in the New Testament Book of Revelation 22:16,
"I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star."
What the…? Well, maybe it’s just a fluke. Sorry, check out 2 Peter 1:19,
"And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts."
So, what’s Jesus saying here… that he’s none other than Lucifer.
In the original Hebrew text, the fourteenth chapter of Isaiah is not about a fallen angel, but about a fallen Babylonian king, who during his lifetime had persecuted the children of Israel. It contains no mention of Satan, either by name or reference.
Why Lucifer? In Roman astronomy, Lucifer was the name given to the morning star (the star we now know by another Roman name, Venus). The morning star appears in the heavens just before dawn, heralding the rising sun. The name derives from the Latin term lucem ferre, bringer, or bearer, of light.” In the Hebrew text the expression used to describe the Babylonian king before his death is Helal, son of Shahar, which can best be translated as “Day star, son of the Dawn.” The name evokes the golden glitter of a proud king’s dress and court (much as his personal splendor earned for King Louis XIV of France the appellation, “The Sun King”).
so basically if you read the bible, and find all references to lucifer, satan, or whatever, you can come to one of two conclusions...
Lucifer = Satan = Jesus... that can't be right? can it?
the Lucifer / Satan mentioned in the bible, isn't actually talking about the devil as people now call him, but is actually talking about a fallen Babylonian king named Lucifer, and is actually using historical events in the book.
so which is more likely? the fact that the 'son of god' is actually the devil? or the fact that the bible is talking about the real king called "Lucifer"?
hmmm... let me think about this one...
M
Yes he is, repeatedly. He is first mentioned by name in Job (which is believed to be the first book of the Bible written down). Satan means accuser in Hebrew. The name Satan occurs 49 times in the King James version. "The devil" occurs 44 times.
Lucifer being Latin of course never occurs in the original bible which was written in Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek.

read my previous post... the name is actually an example of bad translations in the King James version and actually talks of a babylonian king.
M
I never actually mentioned Lucifer in my searches, I went with "satan" and "the devil" precisely because there is some ambiguity over the name Lucifer. There clearly is a devil in scripture and he is clearly seperate from Jesus as he is the one who tries to tempt him.
Anyways, its waaaaay to late for me to coherently argue theology. I keep mistyping as it is.
