Monica Rambeau is hard to write because of her powerset and I don't think any character is easy to write. It depends on how much you genuinely care about the character and how good of a writer you are. That's really what makes characters.

Deadpool is a really hard character to write. In the right hands he's funny, creative, and genuinely someone you'd wanna go on an adventure with. In the wrong hands he's simply annoying..........point being you can't just give him to anyone.

Sabertooth IMO is an easy character to write. All you need to do is have his complicated relationship with Wolverine as a centerpiece and build from there with a hit of insanity thrown in.

Superman. When not written properly he can come off boring and one-dimensional. I imagine his power set is also a hard to handle well.

The Riddler. The riddles are either impossible to come up with or insultingly easy.

Jean Grey. Most writers make her a boring character, but some writers manage to make her interesting. Emma Frost also seems to be difficult for some writers to get a handle on.

Absolutely any character whose supposed to be any kind of military or tactical genius mainly because I've never ever heard of even a one comics writer who would have even cursory understanding of actual military tactics or experience, so most of the so called 'tactics' tend to come out as overly simplistic and contrived because the writers simply have little or no clue at all.

It's not hard to write a Batman, Superman, Spiderman, Cap. America story. It's hard to write a GOOD Batman, Superman, Spiderman, Cap. America story.

@darling_luna: I don't know, Hulk is an anti-hero and I think is really hard to write. Same for The Punisher and Deadpool.

@fuzzylittlerodent: You're probably right, but I think it's easier to write a good Batman story than a good Superman story

Daken Akihiro

On the most part he is just a boy with anger for the dad. But the first issues of he in Madripor are very good.

Flash, superman, wonder woman.

Flash because his villains really and truly shouldn't be able to compete with him, so finding new ways for someone like Cpt boomerang to compete with Flash is very difficult.

Superman because literally everything someone can think of has been done so your creativity has to be off the charts.

Wonder Woman simply because of her complexity.

From a personality standpoint no character should be hard to write. As long as the writer understands what the character's motivations are then they should be able to naturally write stories for them. That's just my two cents anyway.

@s-man1236: I wouldn't be able to say I don't pick up any flash comics. But what I'm saying is, it would be difficult to write Flash villains well enough for them to compete him.
