Like the title says, is their a certain character that got you interested in comics?
What's happened since then?
As a kid, watching DC / Marvel Cartoons, kind of got me addicted. It was mostly just the mainstream characters like Batman and Spider-Man then, but now I kinda have a wide variety of characters that I read about. Anyone else have a story?
Cartoons in general introduced me to marvel and Dc, and they introduced me to spider-man...I mostly got into it when I went into a comic store with my friends and family because we were bored and I started reading marvel zombies.
I have always been a DC fan, being introduced through cartoons, videogames, etc, but until a couple of years ago, I hadn't read comics very much. When the New 52 came and I heard she and Superman are a couple, I became a full-fledged comic fan, and Superman became my second favorite character.
The series that started it all in the USA is finally returning home! Dragon Ball Z Kai makes it’s way to Toonami on Cartoon Network/Adult Swim this Fall 2014! The original show, Dragon Ball Z, captivated the imagination of millions offans across the Nation in the early 2000′s, ranging from small kids to adults. This great news comes straight fromToonami and the company behind the series in North America, FUNimation.
No specific date has been revealed at this time. Kai’s Buu Saga recently began airing on Japanese television, so there is a chance Toonami’s broadcast of the series could begin there, however, nothing has been announced regarding that so the series could also start elsewhere such as the first episode or another episode. We’ll be sure to keep you updated right here on Saiyan Island as the news breaks!
I believe it was Deadpool and he was the first character I started reading, and than months later I got annoyed of him. He's starting to grow on me though ever since that Deadpool test footage.
Wolverine. My first comic and the first series I collected were his. He is still my favorite character. There was another character that was a big part of my starting to read comics as well though.... Deathblow. In the early 90's Jim Lee created a character and a series that were pretty f***n' badass. The first 12 issue story arc in Deathblow's first series is still great.
Huh? you'd think y'know with your name in everything.
Oh, he was definitely a part of it(Saw X2 multiple times as a child and loved Hugh), it's just that Iron Man was the first comic book movie I ever saw, so I give credit to him for sparking the interest.
The first Iron Man movie started my interest but it was Captain America comics - or, more specifically, the Winter Soldier arc - that solidified my obsession with the medium.
It's been a few years since then and, although my favorites list has changed, Cap has always been among the top five.
