My favourite of anything comic-related. Their struggle with powers manifesting (usually) as young teenagers is a big reason why. Being a teenager sucks already as it is, adding powers you don't know what to do with is a whole 'nother level of hell. Plus, they are family and they have an ideal of integration with normal humans and the problems they've faced individually and as a team have always had that core, that loyalty and strength that getting to be an X-Man means.

The X-Men come across as very real and forgiving and also as a group of individuals who are all about second chances and believing the best of people. It might not be that way now but after seeing X-Men 2 way back when (the film) and then looking into them comics-wise, it's what I felt initially and will probably always feel despite how some writers might depict them.
