Does PIS count as unrealistic events?
What are some things comics need less of? 2
got to agree i like pathetic villians as well, as long as its balanced out. pretty much my favorite stuff of the Dark Reign books is all of the weird off titles about obscure villians, like Made Men and such. Im actually preffering those to the core titles right now.lol.
lol I actually like all 6 of those. Pathetic villains can be hilarious. Even Batman has some. Clones are good for comical comics. As for super heroines wearing barely anything, well superheroes have big muscles and tights on. I think it's a fair trade. If characters returning from the grave means I get to see an even better X-Men team (I'm looking at you Astonishing X-Men) then no complaints there. And events in comic books are pretty much always unrealistic. The only examples of otherwise are like biography manga I've heard about.@jloneblackheart said:
" Does PIS count as unrealistic events? "If so, then that's a good one.
Let's so, what could comics really use less of....oh, events that have bad endings and/or don't live up to their potential. Civil War had a dull ass ending and it wasn't that great at all and House Of M used none of its potential.
" Clones, gratuitous violence(keep it in moderation!)/sexual overtones, people dying then coming back weekly, history changing crisis',and Superboy Prime, and slutty outfits. "Are you sure you're a Bleach fan? lol I'm sorry, I had to.
" @ARMIV said:Yes,definitely." Clones,gratuitous violence(keep it in moderation!)/sexual overtones,people dying then coming back weekly,history changing crisis',and Superboy Prime,and slutty outfits. "Are you sure you're a Bleach fan? lol I'm sorry, I had to. "
And this stuff is fine in moderation, but too much is...over-done.
Clones. They're just a pathetic excuse for a character.
I can stand them coming from the grave. I can understand that you can't just permanently kill a classic character that has been around for a long long time.
And I can definitely stand super-heroines with not a lot of clothing. ;)
" I chose unrealistic events but what I wanted to click was "Bad Writing", I figured that was the closest substitute...I find it funny though that the top choice is "characters returning from the grave", since the most popular comic right now wouldn't be squat without characters returning from the grave "I don't think that people hate characters returning from the grave, but the fact that death of a character doesn't matter at all anymore and is just for a sales boost. Was it necessary for Batman, Superman, Captain America, or Martian Manhunter to die? No, and if they died why do they have to come back so soon? Was Bucky really doing that bad, can't Dick at least have a couple months to get into his role before people criticize, and couldn't Superman's book have survived in the 90s without Superman for a while? Mon El is doing pretty well right now and he's been in charge of Sup's book for half a year. Also was it really necessary to bring back Barry Allen, he's been gone for decades, was there really such a popular demand? I'm fine with characters coming back, I just want it to benifit the story, not sales.
