I still have some green lantern stuff to read before I move to starting on flash but I have always heard to read rebirth, trial of the flash is cheap in the showcase presents books, and that's all I know of. I'm guessing there are some big Wally fans who can point you in the direction if some good stories with him.
If we're talking post-crisis, then off the top of my head some of the big ones are; Chain Lightning, The Human Race, Blitz, Rebirth, Flashpoint. Also the one with the Black Flash (forget the name of the arc, but I think it's pretty much right after Chain Lightning).

Terminal Velocity was a major turning point for Wally too.
