The two most obvious ones are Kryptonite, Dr Manhatten and the Hulk, all emit a radiation that is harmless to human beings, but we know that lage quantities of alpha, gamma and beta radiation are harmful to humans.

This could be explained by having them interact strongly with everything and thus travel a short distance in air and stoppable with a thin sheet of anything... but then you would not be able to detect the hulk with any kind of detector and superman would be safe all the time.

Maybe comics need to think up some sort of new radiation, delta radiation maybe, something that harmless to humans, weakens superman and is detectable in air...

Any fans know more about comic radiation types then I do and want to share what they know?

Different color suns each emitting their own kind of radiation.

Anyone who knows anything about Stellar Astronomy should LoL heartily at that.
