And they're all women.

I'm on my phone, so I'm going to keep this short. According to Forbes (don't feel like posting the article Cuz phone, but google) WB has released the 7 directors they are courting to helm Wonder Woman. They are as follows:

Catherine Hardwick

Mimi Leder

Julie Taymor

Karyn Kusama

Michelle MacLaren

Tricia Brock

Kathryn Bigelow

I don't know much about most of them, but PLEASE KATHRYN BIGELOW. Michelle MacLaren would be sweet too though.

No male candidates? That smells sexist to me.

They want a woman director. I hope this PC move doesn't bite them on the a$$.

Please not Catherine Hardwicke.

Other than that I lean toward MacLaren.

Surprised to not see Patty Jenkins anywhere.

@sog7dc:

If there were no female directors being considered, would it be sexist? Because in Hollywood there usually aren't.

Catherine Hardwick-Please no, also pretty sure she's a witch.

Mimi Leder- Pay it forward was good I guess, don't have all that much confidence in her though

Julie Taymor- I'd actually be pretty okay with her doing it

Karyn Kusama-nah

Michelle MacLaren-I'd be fine with her, though as far as I know shes never done a movie before

Tricia Brock-No idea who she is, but I looked her up and apparently she wrote two episodes for Twin Peaks which makes her automatically amazing.

Kathryn Bigelow-She's good, but every single film I've seen by her has been a military based one or similar type of deal. Not sure how well that's going to transfer over.

quite well i imagine, mos was already pretty military oriented altho never to the point of ugh like bayformers was, id be cool to have wonder woman on film with steve trevor leading a group of human soldiers to fight mythical monsters across the globe.

None of these female directors are Lexi Alexander, and therefore I am unfamiliar with who they are.

@movieartman: The Hurt Locker has to be the one of the most overrated movies of the 21 Century so far.

Politics have a huge weight in the Oscar.

Kelly Reichardt, Lynne Ramsey and Deba Ganik are currently more interesting directors.

Jane Campion, Randa Haines or even Ida Lupino should had taken an Oscar way before her.

Kathryn Bigelow fits the tone of the DCCU beautifully.

Meh. Seems kind of sexist they want a female director. I just hope she feels the same as she does when Zack is directing her in his movies

@movieartman: Based off Snyder and co's comments, it sounds like they're going a more myth heavy direction with her(the main reason I feel Julie Taymor would be a suitable director).

Myth heavy with Wonder Woman is a very good thing.

Yes Kathryn Bigelow. An academy award winning director could give the movie some much needed artistic authenticity.

@greatcaesarsghost: Never said it wasn't, just not necessarily the best thing for a director who's entire catalog consists of military and similar style of films.
