Superhero films have been a punching bag of late because so many of them have are in the pipeline and most major studios, and some people are concerned that a superhero fatigue will occur soon. Next year, Warner Bros. will release Batman v Superman, which will be the cornerstone for their newly created DC cinematic universe. They're not concerned about superhero fatigue. “The key thing is that the movies and the television shows and the games, everything looks very different…you have to be able to take advantage of the diversity of these characters,” said Warner Bros.CEO KevinTsujihara at Wednesday’s Morgan Stanley Technology, Media &Telecom Conference.
We already know from Marvel that a cinematic universe can work. Can DC do it as well, yet put a bit of a different spin on it? “The worlds of DC are very different,” Tsujihara said. “They’re steeped in realism, and they’re a little bit edgier than Marvel’s movies.”
It also helps that DC has two of the biggest comic book superheroes to work with. “The big franchises are becoming more and more valuable,” stated Tsujihara. “You don’t have to explain to the consumer what a ‘Batman v Superman’ is.”
No Jokes may be true.
So what do you DC fans think about WB?
