Watch Part of 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' Super Bowl Trailer

Ah, the Super Bowl. An exciting time for fans of the sport, and an exciting time for everyone else because of all the glorious new trailers. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is approaching and we all know Sony has a brand new trailer planned to air during Sunday's game, but today they're teasing us with the first part of it. Usually we're not the biggest fan of teasers of trailers -- especially when they're like, a handful of seconds long -- but this is 40 seconds long and the ending definitely leaves us wondering what'll happen with Gwen Stacy in this movie. Anyway, enjoy.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is directed by Marc Webb and opens May 2. Well, what do you think of the video, Viners?

That fall at the end reminded me of the death of Gwen Stacy... I'm so excited to see Electro being put in a movie, he's my favorite spiderman villain.

I literally just saw that final scene with Gwen and begun yelling "No! No! No! No!"... My roommates don't understand my frustration with that scene.

@sora_thekey: they were definitely paying homage to The Night Gwen Stacy Died, but it won't be the same. For one, Spidey is falling with her, not shooting a web down at her, so she can't snap her neck that way, at least.

Emma Stone's Gwen is the best love interest Peter has ever had- comics or otherwise. They kill her: we riot.

I have big hopes for this movie...

@g_man@k4tzm4n@inferiorego@undeadpool I am still unsure about packing so many characters into the film, but maybe that is the point they want.

Peter becomes Spider-Man and now on top of being a teenager with teenager problems he must stop bad guys like the Lizard and Electro. But also bad guys don't just happen one year at a time or one every 4 years. So as Spider-Man he has bad guy after bad guy to fight like in the comics. So maybe that is why the movie is heaping them on Spider-man. Maybe, your thoughts?

@allstarsuperman: You won't have to, they mostly likely have the trailers even a minute before or after it airs on TV in the internet. I seen it happen many times.

Ah, but if they give her those clothes, for that scene, and they DON'T kill her, we riot as well.

Gwen doesn't seem to be flailing so she might already be dead during the fall.

I doubt the writers want to put Spider-Man unintentionally snapping his girlfriend's neck in the movie. That might not go over well with... most people?

But if she dies, she gotta die right.

The action in this movie just keeps looking better and better..I'm almost certain this movie will be better then the first.

The first one was bad, this one ..looks "Amazing"

Sorry?!....the minute they announced that Gwen will be in the reboot,we shoulda known.
Plus i hate the character of Gwen Stacy from the comics.....Emma Stone practically plays the Ultimate Mary Jane.

Ok that was awesome, but I am definitely not watching the second part...

I thought that the scene in the trailer when spiderman lands on the gear and shoots the web down is going to be gwen dying.

She isn't already dead or going to die in that fall scene. Right before they crash she grasp Spidey's waist and they have released a still and footage for her alive in the clock tower.

That was an awesome trailer. So excited.

Ultimate Mary Jane is just 616 Gwen Stacy without the baggage as far as I'm concerned.
