Was Tim Drake a better Robin then Dick Grayson?

These two are arguably the best Robins for different reasons. But some would say that Tim is better then his older brother in a way. What do you think?

Nah. Dicks still the best. I say that because dick was Robin for so much longer. Tim went solo to lead the titans when he was still young.

I would argue it was Drake. For the position, I would even say Drake overachieved as just a sidekick.

I feel I'm bias simply because I've read way more stories with Tim as Robin; but yes I've always felt like Tim was the superior sidekick.

Dick may be then first and classic Robin. But Tim is THE Robin.

Yep. Aside from being the first, I don't think Dick really had much going for him during his time as Robin.

Dick was the first Robin...but his coolest version is NIGHTWING. I guess Tim Drake can take the Robin title.

While Dick invented the name and the whole sidekick thing. I would say it was Tim that moved Robin out of Batman's shadow, being more independent with the mantle than Dick was, as he became Nightwing to really be the independent hero we know today (if you want an example of this mindset, see the NTT/Outsiders crossover).

Yes. Tim can do all that Dick can, plus he's a better Detective.

But yeah, Tim is better than Grayson at being Robin. Grayson got himself in a trap every five minutes like a complete idiot. Now don't get me wrong, is Nightwing better than Red Robin? Yes.

Functionally, I think Dick did a better job as a sidekick to Batman and leader of Teen Titans, but I think Tim was a better solo, independent Robin. Though to be fair, Tim's inability to be a great sidekick to Batman like Dick was had more to do with Bruce's attitude towards him causing him to work alone instead.

Two words; Teen Titans.

Dick > Tim.

Tim was the best Robin as Robin.

Jason is better as The Red Hood.

Dick is better as Nightwing.

Damian was Damian.

....Touche. I can't argue against a good Dick.

Regardless of what Drake became eventually and what he is now,one could argue strongly that he was indeed the best Robin,really it's between him and Damian.

I'm a bit young for to see Dick as a Robin, I've got to say Tim.

Dick Grayson is a better character but I didn't feel he came into his own until he became Nightwing.

Tim Drake was standout even as Robin.

It's close, since Dick set the standard, but I think Tim edges him out as a Robin. Dick is still better overall in my opinion though.

I think Tim, Damion and Dick all represent their times and work best when they were robin
