Poll Was Infinity A Good Event? (36 votes)
I haven't read it yet but for me personally the last Marvel event I would actually call good was the Thanos Imperative and the last great one was Annihilation so where do you guys think this rates?

@theacidskull: it wasn't though. Not the New Avengers part. Good character dynamics and ish
@danhimself: what one did you vote for?
Great event but I don't expect folks that haven't been reading Hickman's Avengers books to enjoy it like us that do.
@danhimself: what one did you vote for?
Good....I just can't say that it was great....I feel like it was advertised as a Thanos centric event and it felt more like Thanos was added in as an afterthought
I didn't like how THanos centric it got, but other than that it was ok.
Great to see a threat that kicked the Marvel U's ass.

I haven't read it but if I told you that originally Hickman never wanted to write the Avengers but instead wanted to write an Imperial Guard book, would that make more sense?

kind of...but I do think he's doing great things with the Avengers...but it might not be for everyone...I love long form story telling though
They should get rid of Avengers so Hickman can write twice as much New Avengers.
I wanted more illuminati in the main book too
@theacidskull: agreed it was bad, good art but very full of $h*t story
It was good it seemed like it turned the Inhumans into the next x-men just for the movies but it's a wait and see if that pans out, most of the tie ins were enjoyable the art was good, I'd of rather seen the Ragnarok Now storyline in Uncanny Avengers turned into an event instead of the Avengers New Avengers Infinity but to each there own, I have no real complaints with it. I enjoyed it more then AvX and Age of Ultron that's for sure.

What was it specifically that you didn't like about it?
Half of it was good. I liked the Thanos part, but Avengers in space fighting builders was boring and a waste of time.
And saying it's the best Marvel event in years ain't sayin' much.
To me the whole series was like 'wohoo avengers yeah vuhouu' so i think it kinda sucked.I would have said Thanos parts were good but the ending was horrible so i couldn't even said that rather than that weird plot demanding ending i would rather to have Starbrand and Captain Universe joining the fight and he start getting overpowered slowly with an epic fight
@jonny_anonymous: where to start, the Avengers win basically because they get lucky, the threat in space felt irrelevant, Thanos' son... who cares? I mean what is his backstory? Why did Thanos felt threatened by him? And if I as a reader am left with those questions then the story sucked. It was a mess and if you enjoy the Avengers scrambling, clueless, and getting slapped around then yea you probably loved this event. Oh, and someone finally kill BlackBolt, he is useless and a punk.
It was great. The story opened up a lot of new stories to be told for a years. I enjoyed every issue including all the ti-ins and the writing and the art both were great all around so it was a great event especially coming right after the disaster that was Age Of Ultron.
I agree with @moonchilde! Best marvel storyline since Annihilation!!! i love Hickmans stories!
