Was Godzilla horrible?

I don't understand why so many people are complaining. The movie was good, it kept you on the edge of your seat. The story moved slow, but got faster paced and teased you about the grand finale. Godzilla was epic. It was interesting all the way until the end and the humans actually played a role.

Godzilla was Godzilla! He breathed fire and he was a good guy, technically. He survived missile hits and he fought monsters.

I guess fuck Gareth Edwards for actually trying to make an enjoyable movie,
