But I have got to ask. Anyone else tired of all the Superman hype?
WARNING: Superman fans may/will be offended
No, I am getting a little tired of all the b*tching about him lately tho. Especially the b*tching from people who suddenly decided to become fans of the comic version at the end of MOS just so they could join the crowd of ranters.
If you're that annoyed by the "Superman hype," it'll blow over after MoS is done in theaters, and his terrible pairing with Diana ends.
Superman is getting attention that all top tier comic characters like Batman, Wolverine, etc. Nothing out of the normal.
I made a crack about the dude in a Superman/Hulk thread. But it is all in fun. Honestly it's hard to hate the dude when he is such a Badass when he wants to be. He is like that guy from SLC Punk. The dude who looked like a Pleasantville resident, but will fuk you up!
@wolverine08: Ummmmmm....... No. Although its definitely not a bad thing, Superman is getting FAR more attention lately, with it being his 75th anniversary, DC declaring it Superman Year (or something like that), Superman having a blockbuster movie, and Superman having an animated movie, Superman getting 2 more comic book series, not to mention all the Superman products that DC is putting the 75th anniversary logo on. Also, Wolverine doesn't get as much attention as Batman and Superman. The only character getting that much popularity is Spider-Man (but Wolverine is a far better character than Spidey).
@rulerofthisuniverse: Superman, Batman and Spider-Man are probably the 3 most famous Super heroes in the world and its probably always going to be that way.
I understand with the movie, his new comic book, and it being his anniversary of course it's going to seem like everything is about Superman, but sometimes you want to say, "Enough already".
What hype? If anything, Superman is one of the most underplayed characters. People that don't read his books assume that he's played as an unstoppable powerhouse that never loses and always makes the right choice.
@joshmightbe: "I know moar aboot Sooperman than uuu! Cuz I watched the movies! Ha, pwned noob!"
i m tired of people ranting and bitching about him though.. for God's sake it is his 75th anniversary....
@blackwind: I'm assuming that's sarcasm but I've heard many arguments that aren't far off from that.
@joshmightbe: Sarcasm, yes. Honestly, with how much Batman has been dominating DC, somebody else needs a push.
He actually needs more. I love the relationship with Diana and I hope it lasts for years to come! They need to do an animated series next! Superman ftw! Superman&wonderwoman FTW!!!
This Guy!!!
I just hate the stupid Wonderwoman/Superman relationship. Its so damn obvious, and personality wise I never thought they had anything in common.
Considering that it is his 75th anniversary, his new movie will start the franchise DC will use to compete with Marvel in the theaters, and he has 3 new ongoings this year with him as the star; a little hype is warrented. I think DC is making a concerted effort to push Superman to the position he once held as the king of superheroes.
If you don't like it, ignore it because Superman fans love it.
What were you expecting - with Superman Unbound, Batman Superman, and MoS, it's practically Superman Season.
It's rabbit season!
Yep. Way past bored with it. I don't post on these forums nearly as much anymore with the amount of Superman threads. But whatever, a lot of people love Supes so what can ya do? Personally he never did it for me. So I might be content to leave in favor of another comic forum, one more catered to characters I like.
@extremis: A good 80% of these threads aren't being posted by real Superman fans but flash in the pan posers that will disappear the second the movie finishes its run in the theater

All in all, at least Supes is getting some attention.
True. They are kind of like the fairweather Iron Man "fans" that showed up after RDJ brought him into popularity. Also, could I have a followback please?

I hate it to
@joshmightbe: yeah but this has been going on since I joined. All the hype for the movie and such. Now that the movie's over there's even more to talk about: the sequel and its prospective villains, cameos, the future of MoS franchise, etc.
Also, can anyone tell me why I don't get notifications anymore? This site is really bogus lately.

I am having big problems with that. I don't know when someone replies me unless I check it voluntary...
@sandman_: I haven't been getting notifications either also my inbox hasn't gotten anything for days. I'm either suddenly very unpopular or its messed up too. Both are possible.
@joshmightbe: Has to be some kind of bug.

truth.
@battle_forum_junkie: my thoughts exactly. Although unfortunately it might surface again since next year is Batman's 75th.

Well said.
People have read Johns' Justice League, watched Man of Steel, and then suddenly consider themselves an authority. Morons.

This is doing waaaaaaaaaaaaay more harm than good. But DC are sticking with it since their pet, Johns, loves it. Regardless of the lack of interest from the general public.
