But I have got to ask. Anyone else tired of all the Superman hype?

#2 Posted by AweSam (7526 posts) - - Show Bio

Nope.

#3 Posted by ThatGuyWithHeadPhones (15529 posts) - - Show Bio

#4 Posted by Avenging-X-Bolt (15027 posts) - - Show Bio

#5 Posted by TheGreyOutcastX (2068 posts) - - Show Bio

Needs more hype if anything.

#6 Edited by joshmightbe (26583 posts) - - Show Bio

No, I am getting a little tired of all the b*tching about him lately tho. Especially the b*tching from people who suddenly decided to become fans of the comic version at the end of MOS just so they could join the crowd of ranters.

If you're that annoyed by the "Superman hype," it'll blow over after MoS is done in theaters, and his terrible pairing with Diana ends.

#8 Edited by Veshark (9360 posts) - - Show Bio

What were you expecting - with Superman Unbound, Batman Superman, and MoS, it's practically Superman Season.

#9 Edited by Wolverine08 (49086 posts) - - Show Bio

Superman is getting attention that all top tier comic characters like Batman, Wolverine, etc. Nothing out of the normal.

#10 Posted by Guardiandevil83 (7566 posts) - - Show Bio

I made a crack about the dude in a Superman/Hulk thread. But it is all in fun. Honestly it's hard to hate the dude when he is such a Badass when he wants to be. He is like that guy from SLC Punk. The dude who looked like a Pleasantville resident, but will fuk you up!

#11 Posted by RulerOfThisUniverse (6518 posts) - - Show Bio

@wolverine08: Ummmmmm....... No. Although its definitely not a bad thing, Superman is getting FAR more attention lately, with it being his 75th anniversary, DC declaring it Superman Year (or something like that), Superman having a blockbuster movie, and Superman having an animated movie, Superman getting 2 more comic book series, not to mention all the Superman products that DC is putting the 75th anniversary logo on. Also, Wolverine doesn't get as much attention as Batman and Superman. The only character getting that much popularity is Spider-Man (but Wolverine is a far better character than Spidey).

#12 Posted by SOG7dc (10750 posts) - - Show Bio

He actually needs more. I love the relationship with Diana and I hope it lasts for years to come! They need to do an animated series next! Superman ftw! Superman&wonderwoman FTW!!!

#13 Posted by joshmightbe (26583 posts) - - Show Bio

@rulerofthisuniverse: Superman, Batman and Spider-Man are probably the 3 most famous Super heroes in the world and its probably always going to be that way.

#14 Posted by Catsnlynne (1178 posts) - - Show Bio

I understand with the movie, his new comic book, and it being his anniversary of course it's going to seem like everything is about Superman, but sometimes you want to say, "Enough already".

#15 Posted by Crash_Recovery (855 posts) - - Show Bio

What hype? If anything, Superman is one of the most underplayed characters. People that don't read his books assume that he's played as an unstoppable powerhouse that never loses and always makes the right choice.

#16 Posted by Wolverine08 (49086 posts) - - Show Bio

@rulerofthisuniverse:

True. It has become the year of Superman. And yes, Wolverine needs more attention!

#17 Posted by AjO16 (69 posts) - - Show Bio

NO Way. He needs a lot more.

@joshmightbe: "I know moar aboot Sooperman than uuu! Cuz I watched the movies! Ha, pwned noob!"

#19 Posted by NightCrawler358 (202 posts) - - Show Bio

I'm tired of the Batman hype, which lasts long past his movie releases.

#20 Posted by SoA (5793 posts) - - Show Bio

hype? not a supes fan but what hype do u mean?

#21 Posted by cloudzackvincent (1095 posts) - - Show Bio

i m tired of people ranting and bitching about him though.. for God's sake it is his 75th anniversary....

#22 Posted by joshmightbe (26583 posts) - - Show Bio

@blackwind: I'm assuming that's sarcasm but I've heard many arguments that aren't far off from that.

#23 Posted by tensor (6543 posts) - - Show Bio

This is superman 75th year so he is going to get alot of hype an it sure is good

#24 Posted by BlackWind (9129 posts) - - Show Bio

@joshmightbe: Sarcasm, yes. Honestly, with how much Batman has been dominating DC, somebody else needs a push.

#25 Posted by SandMan_ (4581 posts) - - Show Bio

When did he had hype? He kinda needs it to be honest.

#26 Posted by Battle_Forum_Junkie (10324 posts) - - Show Bio

@catsnlynne:

Not really. It's actually refreshing.

All the Batman hype was starting to get a little tiring.

Not at all. Superman deserves it if you ask me.

#29 Posted by The Stegman (30005 posts) - - Show Bio

Nope, he's Superman. He deserves hype, SUPER hype.

#30 Posted by THEOCITYLEGEND (1532 posts) - - Show Bio

I just hate the stupid Wonderwoman/Superman relationship. Its so damn obvious, and personality wise I never thought they had anything in common.

#31 Edited by Immortal777 (9487 posts) - - Show Bio

Just Imagine the hype Batman going to get with his 75 year anniversary.

#32 Posted by RDClip (1764 posts) - - Show Bio

Considering that it is his 75th anniversary, his new movie will start the franchise DC will use to compete with Marvel in the theaters, and he has 3 new ongoings this year with him as the star; a little hype is warrented. I think DC is making a concerted effort to push Superman to the position he once held as the king of superheroes.

If you don't like it, ignore it because Superman fans love it.

It's rabbit season!

#34 Posted by Extremis (3593 posts) - - Show Bio

Yep. Way past bored with it. I don't post on these forums nearly as much anymore with the amount of Superman threads. But whatever, a lot of people love Supes so what can ya do? Personally he never did it for me. So I might be content to leave in favor of another comic forum, one more catered to characters I like.

@extremis: A good 80% of these threads aren't being posted by real Superman fans but flash in the pan posers that will disappear the second the movie finishes its run in the theater

All in all, at least Supes is getting some attention.

#39 Posted by Wolverine08 (49086 posts) - - Show Bio

@joshmightbe:

True. They are kind of like the fairweather Iron Man "fans" that showed up after RDJ brought him into popularity. Also, could I have a followback please?

I hate it to

#41 Edited by Extremis (3593 posts) - - Show Bio

@joshmightbe: yeah but this has been going on since I joined. All the hype for the movie and such. Now that the movie's over there's even more to talk about: the sequel and its prospective villains, cameos, the future of MoS franchise, etc.

Also, can anyone tell me why I don't get notifications anymore? This site is really bogus lately.

I am having big problems with that. I don't know when someone replies me unless I check it voluntary...

#44 Posted by joshmightbe (26583 posts) - - Show Bio

@sandman_: I haven't been getting notifications either also my inbox hasn't gotten anything for days. I'm either suddenly very unpopular or its messed up too. Both are possible.

@battle_forum_junkie: my thoughts exactly. Although unfortunately it might surface again since next year is Batman's 75th.

Well said.

People have read Johns' Justice League, watched Man of Steel, and then suddenly consider themselves an authority. Morons.

This is doing waaaaaaaaaaaaay more harm than good. But DC are sticking with it since their pet, Johns, loves it. Regardless of the lack of interest from the general public.
