So the top 8 singers I voted for are

Christina Aguilera , Pink, Mariah Carey, Britney, Avril Lavigne, Nelly Furtado, Joss Stone and Rihanna are my favorite singers of all time, with Christina Aguilera being at number one.

I also voted for Kelly Clarkson, Gwen Stefani, Whitney Houston, Jessie J and Cher Lloyd cause i liked those singers too.

There is quite a few, I wanted to give people a few options. I voted for 13 singers. All you have to do is pick your favorite.

Some singer you forgot (Hayley Williams)

Just so we're clear, there were female singers before 1996. For a best of "all time" list, this selection is woefully focused on the current crop of pop artists. My choice would probably be Sarah Vaughan, a jazz vocalist from the 40-60's, but even then I'd have some reservations as what I like often depends on the mood I'm in.

Houston is by far The Voice, and I honestly doubt there will ever be a singer born again with such incredible vocal ability, male or female. This woman was borderline superhumanly talented and skilled. Best vocals in history, looking at it objectively.

That said, my personal favourite musicians on this list would be Swift, Perry and Adele. Of course I voted for more, but top choices.

Whitney was in a category by herself vocally.

Not the best, but I love Shakira.

That is a horrible list. Your average 40's-50's singers were far superior to even the best post-60's singers.

Mariah Carey and Ariana Grande for me. I always thought Grande had a great voice and Mariah speaks for herself

Sia wrote songs for half the girls on this list. And she is an amazing singer and mixer of her own stuff too. Multilayered talent.

Most opera singers could blow every single one of these out of the water... just an example.

Where the hell is Kim Sohyang. She's easily among the best female vocalists in the world in terms of technique. Up there with Mariah and Whitney.
