Which company has better comic-based video games? Reasons?
Video games: DC or Marvel??
Marvel has some good ones too- X-Men Legends, MUA, Incredible Hulk Ultimate Destruction, Spider-Man 2, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Shattered Dimensions (kinda).
Of course, none of these games by themselves come close to the Arkham series, but other than Injustice I don't think DC has anything else.
Marvel has more videogames I like, DC has my favorite comic videogames. Arkham series and Injustice are just so damn awesome.
DC because of Arkham series, but I have been playing a ton of Marvel Heroes recently. I just wish Marvel would just make a really good AAA single character (or small amount of characters) game that really has a focus to it that can compare with Batman's Arkham games.
Recently, DC. Arkham games, Lego Batman, and Injustice.
Overall, Marvel. Marvel vs Capcom, X-Men Legends, Ultimate Alliance, Lego Marvel, Spider Man, Spider Man 2, etc.
DC due to the amount of stellar Batman titles. Arkham, Vengeance, Rise of Sin Tzu, Begins, Batman (NES/All), Forever (Arcade), Batman & Robin (SNES), Lego, and Returns (All) .
There's also Justice League Heroes, Superman: Shadow of Apokolips, and The Death and Return of Superman. Marvel has some great games as well, but DC gets the nod, IMO.

@spideysense44: Hawkeye game?
@spideysense44: Hawkeye game?
are you asking if they should make one? My first choice woulda been Punisher, but Hawkeye game could actually build interest for his cinematic character
@spideysense44: Why? Naughty Dog is Sony's studio therefore any Marvel game made by them would only be coming out for the PS4.
@spideysense44: yeah that's what I was asking, which character would fit naughty dog style of the last of us and uncharted.
@spideysense44: Why? Naughty Dog is Sony's studio therefore any Marvel game made by them would only be coming out for the PS4.
Yea that just hit me lol
@kasino: I was weary of trying Lego Marvel because i thought the concept was dumb. Who wants to play a game about Legos? I only bought it because Gamestop had it on sale for 20 dollars.
Its amazing. The amount of playable characters in the game is unreal. Black Panther? Ant-Man? Super Skrull? Moon Knight? Iron Patriot? Falcon? Elektra? Hulkbuster Iron Man? Squirrel Girl? Got em all. I can only think of a few essential characters they missed. Not mention alternate costumes for almost every character. Developer TT games put a ton of detail and little quirks into each character. If you jump of a building and start flying as Johnny Storm, he says "flame on" before taking off in a ball of fire. Thor has to hold Mjolnir to the sky and attract lightning to it before he can use any lightning based attacks. Iron Man's Mark 6 armor has different abilities than his Mark 42 armor.
Sure, its a lego game aimed at kids, but its incredibly deep and detailed and you can tell TT Games wanted to please hardcore Marvel fans. People dont love it because its a lego game. People love it because its a damb good Marvel game.
The only games i like based on Dc characters is the Arkham games but i have liked alot of marvel games as well like x-men legends 1/2 MUA 1/2 & Marvel heroes.
@redlantern23: seen it my nephews were into lego's for a very short time. its just not funny, hardly ridiculous and they rather make these games/shows then the regular animation. when we were younger we had TAS's and Marvel cartoons and it breed die hard fans. the first Spidey movie came out after Spider-Man/Spider-Man Unlimited.
The Arkham games are probably what would give the edge to DC games, but that is only for the last 5 or so years.
Back in the 90s and even pre Arkham Asylum, I would say Marvel games were far better with all the Capcom fighters and the Konami X-Men arcade game. Then again the Batman NES game was great, and so was the SNES Batman Returns game.
I would love for there to be a Marvel game that really competes with the Arkham games.
@kasino: It sounds like you are simply hating on the game based on your pre-conceived notions rather than on the game's merit. The game is excellent and if I had a child or young nephew or whatever I'd be happy to show it to them.
And idk what cartoons have to do with it? But even so, there are plenty of good cartoons that have been made recently. Young Justice, Green Lantern: TAS, Avengers Assemble, Spectacular Spider Man, etc.
Marvel for the long run.
Arkham games were fun the first 2 times, now they're just rehash. I'm pretty sick of Batman games, and wish they would do something different, besides clinging to Batman for quick cash.
@redlantern23: no I seen it. I have kids in my house and i try to give cartoons a chance. i think Clarence is great with his single mom, loser stepdad, possible special needs. i just never got why lego's got huge. the cartoons you named are done by the way. Marvel's just went off the air. the reason i brought it up because the mainstream of superhero's is the diehard fans that cartoons and comics produced.
@kasino: Have you actually sat down and played the game? I'd be willing to bet no.
And yes those cartoons or done but they just stopped recently. And they're all availible on netflix if you wanted to introduce a young person to them. You act like Marvel and DC havent made good cartoons since the 90s.
As long as the Arkham series exists, DC. Now with Arkham Knight coming soon the gap will be made even further.
DC: Arkham games, Injustice, Infinite Crisis, DCU Online, Scribblenauts Unmasked, and the Lego games
MARVEL.
First off, Spider-Man's video game library - SM, SM2, SM3, TASM, TASM2, SM: Shattered Dimensions, SM: Web of Shadows, SM: Edge of Time and Spider-Man: Friend of Foe. They all hold their own unique set of memories for me, especially SM2.
Second, The Marvel Ultimate Alliance Games. I'm not sure about you guys, but I really had fun with those games, and they gave a great set of heroes to play as, all with unique abilities & skins, which were fun to wear!
Third, LEGO MARVEL Heroes. There's, like, over 100 characters in that game, the story was short but sweet, the skins are great, the city was wide, the visuals were great, it had vehicles and stellar voice acting.
Fourth, MARVEL has an overall more diversity. There are 9 modern Spider-Man games, 2 modern Iron Man games, Captain America's Video Game, Thor's Video Game, Ghost Rider even has a video game, X-Men have video games, The Incredible Hulk has its own video games etc. etc. DC concentrates TOO much on Batman.
