@sog7dc: It was entirely selfish, though. It was his pride over being controlled again and desire to defeat Goku that let him do it. The fact that the power boost might also let him defeat Buu alone was a positive side effect, and again selfish in motive. He literally went to Hell for it.

Its not really will power just way to much pride maybe he should get a orange ring now that I thing about it, he risked the mind control and killed about 50+ people at the tournament just to fight goku? Thats just ridiculously greedy to me, just my opinion though :)

I agree with this. Vegeta has such a temper, being a Red Lantern would suit him.
