Valiant vs Image

Haven't read any titles from either company, but I have been thinking about testing the waters with them. Any recommendations?

Old Valiant or New

Old Valiant has Solar and that wins anything

New Valiant has Bloodshot and Shadowman so again Valiant!

Image. Walking Dead. Spawn. Invincible. Astounding Wolfman. I even like what little I read of Luther Strode. Image has my vote.

Dammit I have quantum and Woody on one side, and Luther Strode on the other. Bad times.

am waiting on deluxe editions (of Harbinger and X-O) and trades (quantum and woody) to get started on valiant so for right now I am voting Image for Chew, Saga and Walking Dead.

I only read X-O Manowar, but I recommend it!

I vote Valiant because quality > quantity.

Valiant:

Harbinger and Bloodshot are the best title IMO. If you love the X-Men, you should definitely check Harbinger. Bloodshot is fun and very good. If you want to check the Harbinger Wars story arc(first crossover by Valiant), it's beautiful and a 10/10.

Then you have X-O Manowar and Eternal Warrior who are more adventure and violence.

Quantum and Woody + Archer and Armstrong are very good too.

Shadowman is average, but they are trying to fix it.

You have an upcoming crossover name Unity. It's coming November 5 i think and it's going to be the second crossover by Valiant.

At Image i only read Invincible, but i dropped it not long ago because i feel it's going downhill.

Image has Walking Dead and Invincible they STOMP.

I like Eternal Warrior and what ive read of XO Manowar and Shadowman though

This is my own personal hangup lol. I hate threads that pit one vs the other (who's a better character, what's a better publisher). There's enough of a divisive nature between fans anyways, which was always ridiculous to me :P We all like comics. We should all be happy that as a medium in a whole, they are doing well right now.

Overall, I'd go with Image due to being around longer and being the larger company right now. But Valiant is very good also.

One has Bloodshot, the other has Saga. To hard to decide.

@wolverine08: Harbringer is pretty good, so is Bloodshot, Eternal Warrior only has one issue out so far but it looks promising. I haven't read X-O Manowar yet but I hear it's good.

Image hands down...... They're putting out sooooooooo many great books right now. I read more Image books than Marvel and DC combined........

I pull 5-6 books from each a month so it really is a tie for me. However I voted for Valiant simply because they are building a wonderful universe and its been very organic. I love why Unity is being formed and if you've been reading XO Manowar you know it's probably what would really happen ; it doesn't feel forced. Image has awesome books that I can't wait. to read every month. Saga, East of West,Sheltered and Jupiters Legacy to name a few. I'm very excited about the future of both these companies and if you're not pulling multiple titles from these two every month you're really missing out. I loooove superhero comics but how many times you gonna read about Batman saving the citizens of Gotham again or the X-Men fighting each other( Im reading Battle of the Atom and loving it BTW) before you want to mix it up a bit.

MetH is greatly interested in reading some Valiant books but Image deserves tHe lead. IMHO.

Image isn't confined to telling stories within one specific universe, so it wins.

Dude from Image you should try Invincible, East of West, SAGA, and maybe check out Danger Club. From Valiant I only read X-O Manowar but Greg Pak just started Eternal Warrior last month.

I chose Image as they are presently carrying my favorite titles.

Image. It's probably my favorite publisher right now. I also just started reading Valiant, only a few issues into Shadowman, Bloodshot, X-O, Quantum, and Harbringer so it's not a 100% fair battle.

But Image.

Invincible. Walking Dead. Lazarus. Chew. Need I go on?

I like Fatale and Invincibles, but idk other good Image titles other than Saga . I tried Saga didn't really like it much.

Image has more titles that I am reading and enjoying a lot so Image wins.

Before I said Image because of WD....now I say Image because of Saga, Nailbiter, Velvet, Invincible and The Wicked/The Divine.

Valiant just got Jeff Lemire, so that's an extra point for them.

Image, landslide. I still remember the first time I picked up Invincible.... ah, memories
