Hi all, and apologies if this is an inappropriate place for a post like this.

I'm trying to find a particular edition of the Eagle Annual which I remember from my childhood - I can only remember two things about it:

1) it was one of the red cover/green spine (1950s?) editions;

2) it included a Dan Dare strip set around Christmas time, in which Digby is excited about a christmas pudding (plum duff).

Before I go nuts and buy every edition I can find on ebay, I thought I'd see if anyone could point me in the right direction and save me some money. I'd be very grateful for any advice.

Thanks in advance,

Al.

Try the Eagle Annual Info website : http://www.EagleAnnual.info/

There's a reference to Dan Dare and Christmas in the 1975 annual, but this is not one of the "red cover" annuals

See http://www.eagleannual.info/eagle_annual_1975.php

If you look through the contents descriptions for the red cover annuals you might spot it. Start at http://www.eagleannual.info/eagle_annual_1.php and then click on "Next" to progress through the years.

Just had a quick look through my annuals and it looks like it is Eagle Annual 5 with Dan Dare - Operation Plum Pudding.

Looks like I need to update the Eagle Annual info pages to include the subtitles to each of the Dan Dare stories...

A thousand apologies! I thought I'd ticked a box to receive email notifications of any replies, but must have duffed it. Thank you *very* much for your replies - it does sound like 'Operation Plum Pudding' is the one I'm looking for! Fantastic - now off to start watching eBay.

Cheers,

Al.
