Poll Top badass in comics? (131 votes)
Went on various websites and came up with this list, I tried to get as many badasses in as I could but if you choose OTHER please list the character below thanks
P.s. this is not multiple choice

*sees Captain America isn't an option*
*walks out of thread*
Did you miss other?
ME! yeah i'm a frickin badass already:P
Seriously now. Yet one more uninspired and meaningless list. What's the definition of badass anyway? As already mentioned everyone can be a "badass" in their own way and in the hands of the right storyteller.
Hit-Girl is really badass
Most badass of all. Luke Cage.
Finds out he got a girl pregnant? He steps up and acts like a man, raises the kid right, all while leading Avengers team after Avengers team.
Tell me I'm wrong.

You're wrong.

You're wrong, that doesn't make you a BA, just a responsible and good person.
Better than most of the people on this list however. People die from being around the rest of the list, but Cage protects his friends and family.
@soundnfury: Well some people on this list are mercenaries who are hired to kill. So yeah I would expect some people to die. But just because you protect people does not automatically make you a BA.
So a professional who let's his work lead to the deaths of his family (Batman, Wolverine, Deathstroke, three of the top people on the vote) is awesome? Hardly. He's a joke.
We don't say a firefighter who leaves his children to die in a fire is badass do we? Let alone one how puts them there himself (Wolverine).
I will accept though that I've no problem with Mr. Bad Horse at the moment as a nomination, since I know nothing about him.
D&mn!
Voted for Blade before I saw Ghost Rider. Clint Eastwood may have been the first, but he certainly wasn't the last bad-a$$.
Literally, a character that scares the Devil out of the bad guys.
@soundnfury: Batman's family was murdered to start off with. You act as if all these people have complete mastery over their loved ones and environment. It's not what happens to them that makes them a BA, it's how they deal with it.
And why would a firefighter leave his children to die in a fire? That sounds cowardice to me. Most firefighters I know, want to live to fight fire not die to become some proclaimed BA martyr.
Damian and Jason were both his dependents, they're who I was talking about.
Deathstroke, so I can be clear, allowed the mutilation of one son and the death of another (before killing the first one)
And yes, allowing loved ones to die because of your actions is cowardly, I agree. Makes little sense for a hero, let alone a "badass" to do so.
@soundnfury: He did that to save Rose and Terra.
Agree to disagree? Been lovely debating, but these sorts of things get out of hand on this site often, so maybe we should cut our losses now?
@soundnfury: I guess but next time don't be asking people to debate you if 3 posts later you decide you don't want too. My knowledge of Deathstorke is very very limited. But I know some people who would be more than happy to debate with you. Like: @cable_extreme or @The_Deathstroker
@soundnfury: so tell me why you don't think Slade Wilson, "The Scarriest badass on the planet" to be a badass, he clearly is #1 on this list.
Slade didn't let his son's vocal cord to get sliced because he was cowardly, he isn't a snitch. Jackal wanted him to reveal who hired him to kill his target, Deathstroke refused, how could that be any more badass?!?!
Dang it, just when I think I'm out they pull me back in.
If you believe Deathstroke is superior, you're welcome to him. I disagree.
Also, Deathstroke would appear to be number three, not one, thus far, behind the gentleman in a rodent costume and the four foot ten talking evolved mustelid.
@soundnfury: please explain your reasoning :)
I voted Deathstroke but I'mma go with Black Panther because the man basically kicks the a$$es of the whole damn Marvel roster lol
@soa: Batman is sitting on 19%
Pretty goddamn impressive
