Um, Dr Strange has had many, as have Luke Cage and Iron Fist, togethere and apart. Beta Ray Bill? Get off the pipe, son ;P Captain Atom just had an ongoing axed and Martian Manhunter and Booster have had ongoings.
To be honest, i still think there's an audience for a Heroes for Hire (luke and Iron Fist series) series though. I agree with you there.
Marvel:
1. Moon Knight (a good one)
2. Spider-Woman
3. Wolverine jk, I don't know
DC:
1.Red Robin
2. Secret Six (make it come back)
3. Robin maybe
I'm not going to do Marvel, because I'm unfamiliar, but:
1. Captain Marvel: Shazam hasn't been good since the early 90's, and Geoff John's run is looking to surpass Power of Shazam. It's time to spin this off already and quit relegating him to the back of the half-baked Justice League book.
2. Booster Gold: Post-52 Booster Gold was great, n52's JLI was not. Booster deserves better than this. Coupled with the fact that Blue Beetle is getting cancelled soon, and they really need to put these guys in a book together.
3. Elongated Man: Yeah, I know I may be the only person in the world wanting an Elongated Man book, but hear me out. Maybe DC thinks Ralph quid-pro-quo is too goofy for modern readers. So how about they make him more like his appearance in 52, issue 42? Give him a suit, the wishing gun, and have him solve mysteries, almost noir style. Maybe even have him do stints in JLD, helping out with the mystery aspect of the supernatural. Or maybe, just maybe, DC should suck it up and give us a light-hearted book about a huge goofball solving silly mysteries with his doting wife.
DC:
Static - His title in the reboot was pathetic. DC needs to unfu** themselves and actually use the character before they lose the rights.
Captain Marvel - He's freaking Captain Marvel! 'Nuff said.
New Gods - Not every writer knows these characters, but a good writer would be enjoyable.
Marvel:
- Magneto- Villains in Marvel almost never get their own series, and Magneto is the most deserving out of all of them, IMO. I'm tired of the whole team Cyclops vs. team Wolverine thing. Give Magneto back the spotlight as a leading figure in the mutant side of Marvel.
- Giant Man and Wasp (or any variation of those characters)- I was a huge fan of the mini series starring Hank Pym and Eric O'Grady. I'd love to see an ongoing with Hank or Eric or Scott or Janet now that the last two are back. Plus, with the Ant-Man movie on its way, it's a great time for an ongoing for him.
- Marvel Knights- This is a team that needs to be prominent. Daredevil, Cage, Iron Fist, Moon Knight, Punisher, Black Panther, Venom, Elektra, etc. are all prime candidates for a street-level team.
DC:
- Booster Gold- His pre-New 52 series was awesome, and it's a damn shame that all he got post-New 52 was a spot in the lackluster JLI. Give him back his ongoing, DC.
- Captain Marvel- Billy Batson needs one. He just does. Not really much else to say about that.
- Deadman- I've always been interested by this character, and I'd love to see him in his own series.
DC:
Cyborg
Atom
Doom Patrol (I know they are a team, and not one character, but they really need a book)
Marvel:
X-23
Pym needs a book!
Power Man Victor Alvarez! Vance was so right about him.

DC
- Shazam
- Martian Manhunter
(These two deserve their own ongoing series over flipping Vibe and Katana- The New Gods
Marvel
- Black Panther
- Silver Surfer
- Doctor Strange
This man speaks the truth.
Marvel
- Iron Fist (add in Luke Cage if you want for a Heroes for Hire series)
- Black Panther - There is a lot of stories that could be done with T'Challa
- Annihilators - It'd be nice to see a group of people with immense powers actually using them at full power. I always get frustrated reading stories with powerhouses like Thor taking on earthbound threats which he could obliterate if he went full power.
DC
- Shazam - That way I could stop buying Justice League
- Martian Manhunter - I think they could make him really interesting and let him handle a barrage of threats with all his different abilities.
- Cyborg - It'd be nice to see a spotlight on him to see them develop his character in the new universe.
1.Misty Knight-It appears that Marvel is trying to build her up and she's one of the only characters to lead several teams without even a miniseries
2.Power Man (Alvarez)-Has the best potential as a black superhero to sell some books
3.Blue Marvel-Is getting thoroughly neglected and should be alot more popular than he is. Also Marvel is lacking black leads and they've given BP & WM their shot.Let's try something different.
DC
1.Cyborg-He's the only member of the JLA without an ongoing
2.Harley Quinn-Harley Quinn Vol.1 was amazing and I think she deserves a second shot. I think Harley has become very popular at this point.
3.Adam Strange-another neglected superhero that should be alot more popular, he needs a push
DC:
1. The Joker (shows us what hes been up to the whole year he was gone)
2. The Endless (make it a team thing)
3. Shade The Changing Man (BRING HIM BACK DAMNIT!)
Marvel:
1. Warpath (cool enough to warrant a series to himself)
2. Kid Gladiator ( must.have.more.)
3. The Juggernaut-Cain Marko (so many questions left unanswered)
DC
1. Booster Gold - I was really starting to come around to him in Justice League International and I'd love to see more about him as a person rather than an egomaniac
2. Cyborg - Without an ongoing we don't get to see Cyborg shine like he should
3. Harley Quinn - The original Harley Quinn ongoing was pretty good and Suicide Squad doesn't really do her justice
MARVEL
1. Nova - bring Rider back!
I got nothing else as far as Marvel goes
DC
1. Shazam : Johns can make it DC's most epic fantasy comic book series. To me Captain Marvel is a Superman level character. If johns could do what he did to GL and Aquaman then it will be better than WW,JLD and SoS combined. If Johns doesn't want to do it then Jeff Lemire should do it. And the artwork should be done by Ivan Reis, there's something epicness in art that suits Shazam perfectly.
Other choices: Atom(Ray Palmer), Challengers of the unknown.
2. Orion : I think New Gods should play a bigger part in the DCnU. DC needs a space fantasy book other than the GL books and Gl books are mainly team books, orion will be about a solo character in endless space adventures. I think Mark Waid and Grant Morrison are one of the few writers who can handle this book but Waid is in Marvel and most people hate Morrison. Brian K. Vaughan also seems a brilliant choice. Andrea Sorrentino seems fit for this type of series.
Other choices : Adam strange,Lobo.
3. Peacemaker : I would have said Question but DC changed his background. DC needs some street level characters who can use lethal weapons and are willing to kill, Jason Todd could have been that but DC made him a groupie who takes on aliens and superpowered metas. Anyway most people don't have any idea about him so DC can make big changes for his costume, skills, intentions etc.
Other choices: Vigilante, Robin (Damian Wayne).
Marvel -
Moon Knight more than anyone else IMO. Such an underrated character.
Ant-Man is another underrated guy, Hank Pym version of course. I do enjoy the others (Eric O'Grady as Irredeemable Ant-Man is incredibly entertaining) but Pym is the original and needs more love.
Deadpool because...I mean...it's Deadpool.
DC -
SHAZAM! I know he has a new movie but goddamn still such a hugely underplayed underrated character and my absolute favorite DC character.
Booster Gold I don't know much about but he seems pretty fun and interesting and I'd like to see more of him.
Swamp Thing is just one of the best characters in comics, IMO. Just a fantastic design and pretty different in tone to many others.
