Hi Ant-Man fans

I am new to the Ant-Man series (noob alert) and I really need the help of long time Ant-Man fans. I am trying to get into the Scott Lang period of the Ant-Man Saga. Which comics do you guys recommend to read so I understand the key developments and key moments of Scott Lang's Ant-Man story.

Thank you up front for your help with this Ant-Man crash course!

Cheers

Atomic

The only thing you need to know about Lang is his entire character relies on his daughter. Not much else to say.

Pym is the superior Ant-Man.

Marvel Premiere 47 and 48 introduce Scott Lang. It's a pretty cool story.

Pym is the superior Ant-Man.

Thats not true at all. Scott Lang has been Ant Man way longer than Hank Pym ever was.

@cattlebattle: Hank Pym has been Ant-Man on and off throughout the years, it doesn't matter who's had the title longer.

He's still the superior Ant-Man.

On and off?? He was Ant Man very briefly after his introduction in the 60s and that was it......I can see you are obviously a big fan of the character.

Scott Lang was much more interesting as Ant Man

Older stuff:

Marvel Premiere # 47 - 48 - His origin

Avengers # 195 - 196 - First battle with Taskmaster

Marvel Team-Up # 103 - Another battle with Taskmaster with Spidey's help

Avengers vol 3 # 62 (I think?) - Avengers Disassembled - he's a regular Avenger during this time

Newer:

Ant-Man series - great comic series, lots of humor

FF

I think Lang is the better Ant-Man. He primarily stays true to the Ant-Man role. I see Pym as a character who combines all of his previous identities. He's as comfortable being small as large, as at home with A.I. as with Pym Particles.
