@Guardiandevil83: Yeah, that's one of my favorite and it's from Daredevil (1964) #209
From10 Weird and Hilarious Out of Context Comic Panels
What it looks like: Matt Murdock is murdering little girls, and using his blindness to get away with it!
What’s actually going on: The little girl is a robot equipped with explosives. There are a legion of them after Daredevil, and he’s disposing of them the best that he can. This is played for humor throughout the issue, and the comic is definitely worth reading if you can track it down.
I do. There was nothing to add there. He just sat on deadpool's lap. What was the context? That there was no room in the car for him? That's not quite out of context.
Well yeah exactly... the context is just that there's not enough room in the car so Cap volunteers to sit on Deadpool's lap which everyone who read the comic would know. Out of context would be just seeing that panel alone without knowing the details of to who or why Cap's saying that.
You can't tell me that whoever was writing batman back in the day either.... couldn't stand his work assignment so he wanted to portray bats as the creeper he is or readers really don't know what they are reading and writers purposefully mess with us.
Did I already mention just how amazing this thread is and how great it has made my days since I first saw it. this thread for the win.
