Thor's Real Power Revealed

With all the people I've debated with, the one thing I've heard repeatedly is "Thor has no combat speed"

And then when I show them feats against an FTL character, who clearly uses their speed against opponents of equal strength and power, they somehow magically forget to use their speed against him, as claimed by people I debate against.

This is apparently a phenomenon that stretches far back into the history of Marvel comics, and perhaps a secret shared by every Thor comic writer if they are correct. This could in fact mean that Thor has the superpower to negate the speed of whoever he's fighting.

I mean it must be true if every time I post a speed feat people say "They didn't use their speed against Thor" I mean it's the only way he could react to them on such a consistent basis. This would give him nearly a dozen feats of doing so against people he fights and mean he can ctrl+a+delete all speed.

Now to wait for someone to take this post seriously.

So.. he's so slow that he makes even those around him slow? sounds legit.

you.. haven't used ctrl + a for select all. That's a little difficult to believe for someone with 3000+ posts (means a lot of typing) 0_o

Thor is not slow.

According to handbooks he has Superhuman Speed.

Thor has superhuman speed, but nothing on the level of, let's say, Superman.

The foes with superspeed that Thor tags also tend to have a crapload of bad instances where they were tagged by slow characters.

"Thor has no combat speed"

(lol)...Yet he always was able to fight anyone in the MU, including Celestials and Beyonders (very recently)...

I'm getting tired of all these Thor speed threads. It should be banned. Thor are Thor discussion threads that you could have posted this in. Do we need a Thor ban?

This called many trolls and "I-want-ban-on-him" dudes, there are "many" speed threads about Thor, bc Vine praises speed too much, bc for most viners speed = omnipotence, ussually those who do so are DC fanboys, I haven't a friggin' problem with DC (besides possibly the self-wank) or any of it's characters, I mean I grew loving Superman and Batman and today GL is one of my favs, but fanboys just took the fun out of it...

The problem is that most ppl think that the only cmb's speed that counts, are the ones expressed in Flash ways, aka micro/zepto/atto-seconds, etc. or with Supes visual effects and anyone else's feat not being accompanied with such descriptions or effects is slow or willingly removing his speed, for ppl like Thor means he is automatically slow, and that is absolutely false my friends, those ppl forgets Hyperion had a fight with Gladiator which happened in nanoseconds and that wasn't Kallark's best, yet he won, ppl forget the same Gladiator came from future, while overconfident (his sundip) and with the sole task of killing Thor, yet he lost, how in hell wasn't he using his speed with someone he wanted to kill? Really?

That's the reason behind these kind of posts, we aren't saying Thor is Flash-quick or Supermanlike in combat speed, we are saying he is quick enough to keep up with them and can perceive, thus react, to far faster stuff, his few microsecond reaction feats are there and they're canon still, what ppl don't understand is, that Thor holds back a lot in order to talk ppl down to submission, but when this fails, his way of solving problem is trying to one-shot his foes, the greater the foe the more that it takes for him to hold less back and only top dogs will force his hand into unleashing his full might and portraying his top (an ussually unused) skills and capabilities, that's simply how things are, yet ppl think Thor is overrated somehow, when he is the one if not the most hated/bashed/underrated character ever, the spotlight is finally on him, as his popularity is raising thanks to movies, yet he is highly misunderstood and his speed is overlooked/underrated a massive lot.

If the premise of this thread were true then Spider-man wouldn't have been able to speedblitz Eric Masterson when he had Thor's powers
