Agreed, to me that would be worse than the death penalty being trapped in an endless void of nothingness. some of the monsters in prison need to be locked in the phantom zone.
a bullet's cheaper. what is it with this whole 'lets create better place to house our worst criminals' thing? in some places prisons have everything: tv, air conditioning, fridge in the room. they're not supposed to be rewarded with a vacation for their crimes. plus the phantom zone would keep them immortal right? will would you do that?
@KainScion: While it's true they'd be immortal, they may well wish they weren't. Of course, in the comics, for stories sake, folks escape now and then, but if I couldn't escape it, I'd rather be dead.
