Hi! I'm new! :D

Fav. comics- Night Gwen Stacy Died, Civil War arc, Infinity Gauntlet arc, Fear Itself, tons more.

Characters- anything Marvel...

I found CV because I was doing research for Age of Ultron and Cap3:Civil War. I was mainly doing some battles, and became obsessed with this so I joined.

Goodbye, CV. It's been fun, and I've made a ton of fantastic friends, but I don't think I will be on nearly as much as I used to be. I'll still be around every once in a while, but it will most likely be for the PMs.

Not fishing for empty platitudes, but I am in a bad place in my life and with no money to invest in comics and movies, this is just a spoiler factory where I can't really participate in online water cooler conversations with my friends without looking like an idiot. That, with the degenerating quality of thread topics related to current events and questions of race and sexuality...? I need a break. Most won't care. The few who do, I will probably be forced by boredom to pop in occasionally. It will just be less frequently.

Have you tried local libraries? tons of free stuff in libraries (well there is in mine anyway, but maybe I'm just lucky)

@silent_bomber: Thank you, but locally, we seem to get trade paperbacks a month or two after their commercial release, so for new monthly titles, I'm going to be unable to participate in articulate conversations. Nice suggestion.

So it said hello and goodbye on the sign out front but man im just reading a bunch of goodbyes. i hope im not too late to the party? ive lurked here and there and made full use of the wikis. i will say compared to other comic book sites this one doesnt seem to relish in political agendas, just straight comics. nor does it seem like others to just be top ten lists reduex. i love the format its clean and easy to manage.

im an 80's child. started reading comics as much as possible around spider-man 300 to give you an idea how long ive been in it. 90's burned me out and stopped reading comics for 14 years. man did i miss some good stuff. been back in it for just over a year and rebuilding those titles i used to love. huge fan of Hulk, DD, X-men. Digging the Image quality and some Boom comics. love me some John Carter. I only buy one comic from DC, Deathstroke. I read a couple of mangas currently but my all time fav is GANTZ, which has ended. hope there are people left and all the goodbyes are not indicative of the amount of people here. see you on the flip side and if so say hi. @nwoslave: Welcome to CV. From one 80's kid to another you seem like a pretty cool person and anyone who likes DD and the X-Men is cool with me. I went through a simiIar time where I stopped reading and other things became a priority. One of the great things about comics is you can catch up on stuff real fast even years worth.

If I could recommend anything to check out that I love it would be Hellboy. It's one of my favorite characters and comics and I have to at least mention it.

Why hello Comic Vine, figured I might as well introduce myself. Big fan of the Vic Sage incarnations of The Question, as I'm sure you could tell, as well as The Atom and Ant-Man. Always had a soft spot for shrinkers I guess. Ended up stumbling across this thanks to a wonderful man by the name of TheTrueBarryAllen, who opened my eyes to the fact that there are places on the internet where people actually just talk about comics. So, basically, heaven.

Hey, I'm Matt. I'm new (obviously) and thought I'd sign up to chat about comics and movies. Dabbled in comics for a while but only in the past year have I tried to keep up to date with some of the DC New 52 titles. I'm a fan of Snyders Batman run, Johns Green Lantern and his JL run. I also want to delve into Marvel but I'll wait till they relaunch their range.
